I tried very hard to find anything appealing about this story. It might be enjoyed by a teenager or someone in that age range. Very predictable and very boring to me.
If the story had tied everything together at the end. I felt like I did right after I watched the last episode of Lost on T.V.
First one I have read by this author.
Narrators were good.
Disappointment. As long as this book was, the author failed to tie all the loose ends together and explain everything.
I am left with the impression that the author was paid by the word. There was so much repetition and fluff in this story she made Stephen King look like he writes fortune cookies. I was optomistic in the beginning and then deeply disappointed at the end. I would not recommend this book to others.
I like Jack Reacher novels but unfortunately this one had what I consider to be a weak and very unrealistic and unbelievable storyline. The writing was a bit too stretched out and downright slow in places. I'm not giving up on Lee Child just yet but one more like this one will lose me.
I enjoyed the information that was for the most part previously unknown but I felt like I was being read to by June Cleaver. I found it to be written a little too personal from the author's perspective. A bit irritating at times with way too many "notes" with the author's comments. I may have found this more enjoyable if I had read it instead of listening to it in the audio format.
I have read some sick twisted things before but in my opinion this went WAY too far. I would be afraid of the person that could even think of some of the things in this book much less write them down and publish them. The author will never date MY daughter. There is something wrong with someone who can think like this.
Worth the wait. Good story, good narration, good plot twists. Just a hair hokey at a couple of points but it takes nothing away from the story.
Excellent story, well written!
I have read many "thriller / suspense" stories and have been let down by many near the end of the story. Not so with this book. It is a good read and a good ride to the end and I was very impressed with the narrators telling of the story. Highly reccomended!
