This is a tale of sorrow, a tale of survival, a tale of one man's search for meaning in his universe, and how that search, and the indomitable will that drove it, gave birth to a legend.

I am new to fantasy and I think I started off on the right foot. At first it was a little hard to get into, but once I did I couldn't stop listening. There are so many layers to this book. There were some places that were a little slow at times, but worth it for the information he gives. Well worth my credits.

"My name is Kvothe. I have stolen princesses back from sleeping barrow kings. I burned down the town of Trebon. I have spent the night with Felurian and left with both my sanity and my life. I was expelled from the University at a younger age than most people are allowed in. I tread paths by moonlight that others fear to speak of during day. I have talked to Gods, loved women, and written songs that make the minstrels weep...."

Well worth my credits. It is a long story, so be prepared. I love this world Patrick Rothfuss, can't wait for book three, in 99 years.

The conclusion of the Mistborn trilogy fulfills all the promise of the first two books. Revelations abound, connections rooted in early chapters of the series click into place, and surprises, as satisfying as they are stunning, blossom like fireworks to dazzle and delight. It all leads up to a finale unmatched for originality and audacity that will leave listeners shaking their heads in wonder, as if awaking from an amazing dream.

I wondered for a while how it would end and I was satisfied. Good final book to the trilogy. I love the narrator. He does such a good job. And I love that he was retained for the Next book as well.

In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue - Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is - she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

You can tell this is a book for young adult/ teens. Wasn't much to it. Interesting story, I thought it was worth reading. But don't expect too much from it. Good thing I didn't waste credits on this, it was something I got through a gift.
