Deep within Syndicate Worlds' space, the Alliance fleet continues its dangerous journey home under the command of Captain John "Black Jack" Geary, who was revived after a century spent in suspended animation. Geary's victories over the enemy have earned him both the respect and the envy of his fellow officers.

As number four in the Lost Fleet series, Valiant is more of the same. Despite this, I am looking forward to a number five? The whole series has been favored with excellent narration & production.

The last novel completed by Jane Austen before she died at 41, Persuasion is often thought to be the story of the author's own lost love. Sir Walter Elliot of Kellynch Hall has three daughters: Elizabeth, who shares his haughty vanity and, at 28 has found no one good enough to marry; Mary, who has, with some condescension, married the son of the local squire; and admirable Anne, who "was nobody with either father or sister".

I am a fan of Jane Austen and have listened to this book many times. Ironically, I chose this edition of Persuasion after listening to the sample of all the available narrators. The narrator, Nadia May, was excellent, but I have never listened to an audio book, from Audible or on tape / CD from another vendor, with such poor production value. At the end of every few sentences, it was possible to hear the break where they pieced the recording together. The break was just a little too long. It gave the feeling that each sentence was an isolated statement, rather than a part of a whole paragraph, chapter, novel. I would avoid this production of this great book.
