Books are my escape. Some books are even more inventive with someone else to make the right decisions on tones and inflection.

For more than 300 years, Bluff House has sat above Whiskey Beach, guarding its shore - and its secrets. But to Eli Landon, it’s home.… A Boston lawyer, Eli has weathered an intense year of public scrutiny and police investigations after being accused of - but never arrested for - the murder of his soon-to-be-ex wife. He finds sanctuary at Bluff House, even though his beloved grandmother is in Boston recuperating from a nasty fall. Abra Walsh is always there, though.

After traveling through time in Shadow of Night, the second book in Deborah Harkness's enchanting series, historian and witch Diana Bishop and vampire scientist Matthew Clairmont return to the present to face new crises and old enemies. At Matthew's ancestral home at Sept-Tours, they reunite with the cast of characters from A Discovery of Witches - with one significant exception. But the real threat to their future has yet to be revealed, and when it is, the search for Ashmole 782 and its missing pages takes on even more urgency.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Book of Life to be better than the print version?

With all of the voices that Jennifer gives I have found that even when I switch to reading it myself, I can still hear here accents for the characters. For all three books in the all souls trilogyou I have print Kindle and audio. It was soon worth getting the audio.

What did you like best about this story?

I love that I am able to escape, and feel as though I too am a part of the story. It is written so well that I fou do it easy to get lost in each book in the series.

Nicola Marter was born with a gift. When she touches an object, she sometimes glimpses those who have owned it before. When a woman arrives with a small wooden carving at the gallery Nicola works at, she can see the object’s history and knows that it was named after the Firebird - the mythical creature from an old Russian fable. Compelled to know more, Nicola follows a young girl named Anna who leads her into the past on a quest through the glittering backdrops of the Jacobites and Russian courts, unearthing a tale of love, courage, and redemption.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Firebird to be better than the print version?

YES! I would love to read this book, but fear I would lose on the accents necessary to truly get lost in this work. The transition from England English to Scottish to Irish and finally to Russian make this audible version better then print.

What other book might you compare The Firebird to and why?

There isn't anything I have read before that can compare to the beauty of this book. The one bad comment of this audible reading (after having heard it) is truly from a person either to young to appreciate the novel, or from one who is unimaginative at best. Further it sounds like they read it vs. listened to the work and that they gave up upon the different versions of language accents.

What does Katherine Kellgren bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I was sad at first that I was listening to an England version of english. And then I began to appreciate the accent. Further, she gives a true voice to each character and background. I have listened to a number of my favorite books, and never been so thankful for someone else's take on the characters.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book takes you on a journey, and by the end I think that anyone would be incapable of holding back the tears that are sure to come. This is one of the finest piece's of literature that I have ever been so lucky as to come across. Please, just give it a chance and I promise you won't be disappointed. It is truly beautiful!

Would you consider the audio edition of Fifty Shades Freed to be better than the print version?

I love that with whisper sync I can go back and forth. In this case however, I found the reader to be a little to Valley Girl and naive. Normally, I love Becca Battoe, but on this series I just couldn't agree with the tone used.

What did you like best about this story?

The story is unexpected. I love a good romance, but this is not what I expected.

Would you consider the audio edition of Beautiful Creatures to be better than the print version?

The audio was better then reading it. There's a tune that keeps playing in the book, and I was never able to do anything but read, but on audio when the tune starts before the words you get excited by what's about to come. The series is worth listening to versus reading.

What did you like best about this story?

It was seriously creative and was extremely visual. It is a little young, but it was fun to get lost in the story line.
