The most unabashed piece of garbage I have ever tried to listen to. After six hours, I could still not have cared less about any of the characters or the outcome of the supposed plot. If I could give it a zero star, I would.
I enjoyed this Inspector Rebus more than the previous ones I have listened to. The plot was intriguing and the characters interesting.
Yes, I wanted to know how everything tied together and what the resolution of the cases was.
I enjoy Michael Page. He's second only to George Guidall.
The opening scene was gripping.
Rankin has developed as a writer since his first few books.
This is another Inspector Rebus mystery; this time he is busy investigating an apparent drug overdose.
No, it was a bit too convoluted.
He does a great job.
I enjoyed this, but it wasn't one of my favorite Inspector Rebus stories.
domestic violence, drug abuse
well, I probably won't read another book by this particular author for awhile.
The two story lines were both VERY VERY depressing; it wasn't a good fit for me at this point.
A story of domestic violence and drug abuse.
As usual, I thoroughly enjoyed this mystery. The characters and their relationships are very real, very Wyoming. The plot keeps you guessing. All the characters are interesting. The plot is very believable.
yes, it kept me guessing.
He's the consummate professional reader.
yes, but I don't want to give the plot away.
keep 'em coming, Craig.
Another great mystery
Virgil Flowers and his relationship with the redneck barn-wood selling female.
I can listen while I do long runs and not get bored.
I always chuckle at certain scenes in the book.
Flowers is fun.
Probably not. I almost never listen to books twice because I already know how they end.
Any other Harry Hole book.
No one in particular.
If you're a fan of Kurt Wallander or Jo Nesbo, you'll enjoy this mystery.
I have not read the print version.
I liked Tempe's relationships with the other male characters.
Tempe rides again
A fun mystery that kept the reader guessing.
Probably not. I very, very rarely listen to books again because I already know how they end. I've only ever listened to one more than once: a Craig Johnson Longmire story.
Can't think of any right off the bat.
yes, it was suspenseful and kept me listening.
I always enjoy Jo Nesbo and Harry Hole. His character was less depressing in this book. You had some hope for the guy.
When Lynley makes his last visit with Isabelle Ardrey.
I liked that she provided pronunciation for the Italian and Pakistani words.
no. WAY too long.
I got really tired of it and was ready for it to be over.
Yes, it is so entertaining;I laugh every time I think about some of the scenes.
Jo Grey and his relationship with his human staff was the best part about the story.
She did a remarkable job portraying all the characters.
It's no epic novel such as The Kite Runners or The Story of Edgar Sawtelle, but certain scenes still make me laugh outloud when I recall them.
Fun and kept me listening!
