Relationships are challenging enough for most single over-30 women. For level-10 parasensitive Clare Lancaster, they're a minefield. The elite few who know her secret call her a human lie detector, and any falsehood, no matter how subtle or well hidden, sets her blood racing. Over the years, Clare has come to accept that someone with her extraordinary talents is unlikely to find a suitable mate. But a murder investigation with an unusual man may change that.

What did you like best about White Lies? What did you like least?

The story was as great as Jayne Anne Krentz is famous for. I love all her books, especially the Arcane Series.

What didn’t you like about David Colacci and Kathy Garver ’s performance?

Loved David Colacci's performance. I would have preferred it if he had narrated the entire book. Kathy Garver may be a wonderful reader to others, but her voice to my ears is like fingernails on a chalkboard. I cringe every time I hear her voice. I also am NOT a fan of the multi-narrator layout. Even though it is obvious they made every attempt to make transitions smoothly, I feel jarred every time they change turns.

    Any additional comments?

Audiobooks can often be made or broken by the narrator(s). Fortunately, I was already familiar with this author and the series or else I might have been turned off by the performance of this particular book. I urge people reading this to not turn away from the series just because of this one. Who knows? Maybe it's just me and Kathy's voice sounds like angel-song to you, but I know I will think twice before purchasing any book narrated by her.
