In the compelling conclusion to the New York Times best-seller Her Mother’s Hope, Christy Award-winning author Francine Rivers explores the sorrow that can tear families apart and the grace that can heal the deepest wounds. Just as Carolyn had formed a stronger bond with her Oma Marta than with her mother, so Carolyn’s daughter is drawn to her grandma more than to a mom who’s caught up in the 1960s counterculture....

The second book in Marta's story continues as the generations grow. Not only is this a good novel but the hope that Christ gives through all circumstances is woven in the story line with excellence I wish I had had same opportunities with my mom and grandma and great grandma I think this book hit very close to my own story

Carrie Slayton, a big-city society-page columnist, longs to write more serious news stories. So her editor hands her a challenge: She can cover any topic she wants, but only if she first scores the paper an interview with Finn Dalton, the notoriously reclusive author. Living in the remote Alaskan wilderness, Finn has written a mega best-selling memoir about surviving in the wild. But he stubbornly declines to speak to anyone in the press, and no one even knows exactly where he lives. Digging deep into Finn's past, Carrie develops a theory on his whereabouts.

I first stumbled on Audio Books through iTunes and my first reads were Debbie Macomber and her Midnight Sons Series. I have dreamed about being in the Alaska Wilderness most of my life, Ms Macomber took me there in the Midnight Sons series. She also hooked me on audio books I discovered Audible and have been an avid listener ever since.
Starry Night brought me back to Hard Luck AK it was a riveting love story with an I can not put this down quality. I will reacquaint myself with Hard Luck since it has been over a year since I lost myself in those pages. I hope that Ms Macomber continues the story with Finn Dalton and add more of the Hard Luck AK characters.
    Love my Audible

Internationally best-selling author Francine Rivers—winner of a Christy Award and the ECPA Gold Medallion—crafts a riveting tale of mother/daughter bonds stretching across decades. Strong-willed Marta leaves Switzerland early in the 20th century and settles in California. Though Marta loves her eldest daughter Hildie, they often clash as they attempt to find their places in the world.

This is the second Francine Rivers book I have listened to. She is a compelling writer, I have enjoyed this book and I am about to start book 2 . Francine Rivers keeps your interest, draws you into the story as an observer, and instills emotion. The actors do a wonderful job of bringing the characters off the page and into the room with you.
