I enjoyed everything about this book! I am a grandmother and would like my g'kids to read this when they are older. It is a book that would bring younger children to to become interested in some stories in history. Kind of a Harry Potter situation where the students can witness history in a life like visual effect. Also an Avatar aspect where the students can control animals. I will be listening to more of this series. I also like Kirby Heyborne as the narrator.
It is so hard to put into words the horrors that were endured! I have read many books on this subject, my personal favorite is "The Hiding Place." However, I am so glad that I listened to this book. An other view of the atrocities that were committed. My heart ache and inability to comprehend the life in a concentration camp.
The set-up of the story worried me, I felt that it was going to be written for YA. However, the last half was very enjoyable. Alex is up against various enemies and pulls it out & saves the day, yada, yada, yada. Some are comparing it to Desden, certainly the dry sense of humor is there. But I am one of those who love both Dresden and Codex Alera and hold them up as the standard. I really liked Luna and hope that she continues to be part of the seriesl
I know, I know . . . they are all the same, but I still enjoy them. I always like when Clive shows up in each book. A lot of action as always. I love the banter between the Fargo's.
The language was bad, too many F words. The first half of the book was ok but I could not finish the last half. I enjoy paranormal books, but this is just a bad bomb.
My feelings about this book run from wonderful to boring. When Dr. Siri is home, the story is really wonderful and the mystery was exciting. However, when on his trip it was awful! I am glad that I listened to it and will listen to the book number 3. I really like the narrator, his monotone voice adds to the humor.
I hated for it to end! This is a sweet story to repeatedly listen to every few years. If only the world now would focus on "being good."
I was hoping for more story. This is a story, but it is just about the people, it is a constant narrative of names. So and so did this, etc., etc., etc.
I am crazy about this series and I hated it to end. This last book did not cover as many delivery stories but gave more details about the wonderful characters.
I loved this book and wanted to hear more. This is a very upbeat, behind the scenes look at this fabulous movie. Andre' was mentioned multiple times and I am indeed pleased to have heard more about this "gentle, positive giant." My only complaint is that it was too short, I want to know more about many parts of the movie.
I was so excited to find this series! I hung in there for 2 hours and then had to quit because of the numerous F bombs. I am sad because the story was really great however I chose not to listen.
