Imagine that your husband wrote you a letter, to be opened after his death. Imagine, too, that the letter contains his deepest, darkest secret - something with the potential to destroy not just the life you built together, but the lives of others as well. Imagine, then, that you stumble across that letter while your husband is still very much alive....

Where does The Husband's Secret rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I give it ten thumbs up.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I don't think I had a favorite. I like Tess and her mother. I understand Rachel and her search for the truth. Cecelia pisses me off but her loyalty is to her husband. Tess is strong and I laugh my ass off at bold moves to get her life back. I like her character the most.

Have you listened to any of Caroline Lee’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No but I like the accent.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I actually listened to this book in one day with my son of all people. It begins slow but has a great impact on you leaving you with your mouth open. My son typically thinks my audiobooks are annoying but he liked this one.

    Any additional comments?

I loved the book but I loved the ending the best. It makes you really think about your actions. Cause and effect.

Or will the things Gin has been forced to do in her line of work as the deadly assassin the Spider keep them apart forever? Assuming, that is, she survives long enough to find out....

Would you listen to Heart of Venom again? Why?

Yes. I'm am on listen 4 now.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Heart of Venom?

I love this story so much because it tells Sophia's story. I cried at a couple parts because it felt too real. When Sophia finally stood up for herself was the most amazing. The strength and finality of it all made me cry with tears of joy.

Which character – as performed by Lauren Fortgang – was your favorite?

Fin and Gin are my favs! Best brother sister combo since the Wonder Twins.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I cried. Gins reunion with Owen and Sophia's struggle to freedom was truly inspiring.

    Any additional comments?

This is truly one of the best book series I have ever read. Everybody needs a little Gin in their life.

They call me the Spider. I'm the most feared assassin in the South -- when I'm not busy at the Pork Pit cooking up the best barbecue in Ashland. As a Stone elemental, I can hear everything from the whispers of the gravel beneath my feet to the vibrations of the soaring Appalachian Mountains above me. My Ice magic also comes in handy for making the occasional knife. But I don't use my powers on the job unless I absolutely have to. Call it professional pride.

What did you love best about Spider's Bite?

I love her honesty. She is not a tongue bitter. She is the woman many would like to be but can't. She's sexy, smart, tough, emotional, and just COLD BLOODED! Be her friend and you'll be set for life. Hate to be her enemy.

What did you like best about this story?

The story was raw and full of emotion. Even though it has a supernatural feel to it is believable. You can relate to the story and have to keep going. I love the beginning of the book when she finds Fletcher and saves Fin. She was cunning and resourceful till the end. Also Candy her whorish alter ego is born. Love it!

What does Lauren Fortgang bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Lauren Fortgang brought Gin Blanco to life. In a way she is Gin Blanco! I can't put her voice on anyone else because Fortgang makes it real. True southern swagger! She talks the correct emotion into the story. In telling the story she is always in the correct mood. I have heard some books that when it is action they are dry, humor dry, romance dry. Fortgang tells the story and puts you in the world of Ashland. I'm not just listening I'm there along for the ride.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did cry because I could feel Gins loss. What was once probably a good life with her mother and sisters to living on the streets alone eating trash to being the hard core Amazon she became. Cold on the outside but full of love and emotion on the inside. She has true desires and real hobbies and dreams. I find myself cooking when I listen to the book. And yes the cumin does add that kick to the sauce. So thank you for that tip. Truly amazing!

    Any additional comments?

I heard of Jennifer Estep a couple years ago. I had seen the display at a Barnes and nobles. I read the jacket to one of her books and was interested in checking it out. It took another year to get into just getting the books. Another to read the first one. The first line got me hooked. I listen to the series at least 3 time a month. That's about 5 days of non stop Blanco! I love it. Can't wait to get book ten and eleven. My mouth is watering for it.

I loved the first book and I was excited to listen to the second book. I didn't like the voice change but I loved the book. I listen to them both quite often.

The wedding dress mad dash was the best. Great story line. Loved the conclusion. It was believable.

Clary Fray just wants her life to go back to normal - but that turns out to be impossible. For one thing, her mother is still in the hospital, in a mysterious coma. For another, she and her brother, Jace, have fallen under a cloud of suspicion now that the Shadowhunter world knows that Valentine is still alive - and that Jace and Clary are his son and daughter.

    1 to 10 it gets the 7.

Who was your favorite character and why?

    Simon

What about Natalie Moore’s performance did you like?

    Ok

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I loved how Simon began his transformation and the story of Mya. I didn't cry but I was moved by the story in the book. The Inquisitor was a very good twist to the story. I feel bad about her undoing but I guess there has to be some sacrafice.

When 15-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder - much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It's hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing, not even a smear of blood, to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?

What made the experience of listening to City of Bones the most enjoyable?

The action in the story and the secrets revealed throughout make you want to keep going.

What other book might you compare City of Bones to and why?

I only compare it to Twilight because of the fact that all the things you heard of that go bump in the night are true. Plus the love struck star of the book Clary is reckless and so in love like Bella.

Have you listened to any of Ari Graynor’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She is ok in this reading but doesn't really sell the fantasy in listening. I read the books before I got the audiobook.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Truth revealed when she's talking to Luke and he tells her about the past.
