The stupidity of the main characters. I couldn't handle listening to the rest of the series.
The story was just bad... guess I was so angry at the characters, I found myself yelling at the voice telling me the story. I think it was the story not the voice.
The idiocy of the 'bad' guy getting chance after insane chance.
NO! I normally enjoy Jack Campbell but the narrator ruins the story. Most of the time he whispers the story, which is absolutely irritating. So you have to 'turn up the volume', then sometimes when the characters "talk" he speaks normally and they BLARE in my ear. Whose choice it was to have this dude whisper needs to be slapped. No point listening to the rest of this.
Can't tell anything about the writing due to the narrator. If he spoke normally and used a regular voice, I might enjoy the book.
Almost anyone... to be fair... as I said, the whisper voice was a STUPID idea. Other wise his story telling talent more than likely would work.
Look up a new series with a different narrator.
Let me know if this book ever gets re-recorded without the "golf-whisper".... stupid!
Yes, the editing and the insipid dialogue. How many predictable stupid times can they drink the tea!
The snow. It was such a guy fantasy to have his 3 happy wives!
Narrators are fine... but really the editing and no one has fixed it and updated us? What a rip off!
Fix the audio, please.
The audio had technical difficulties. My download would seem to, after a pause, increase on it's own to uncomfortable volume. Enough that I had to turn it down. Then it would be too low and I would have to turn it up. It was not my i-pod it did the same when I played it on my computer.
So much is going on. The 'visual' stimulation is phenomenal and creative. It is most definitely thought provoking. But I did need to listen to it twice. I plan on going through the series a third time. I seem to get more each time.
Not sure. Again there is an auditory issue after he takes a break.
Riveting. Cohesive twists that puts the pieces together and you didn't know they were apart.
Looking forward to seeing the movie and listening to book 3
