What about Jeff Woodman’s performance did you like?

I believe he has the character spot on. Reminds me some of Parker's Spencer. Love that series.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes

    Any additional comments?

At first was thrown by the humor and thought might be for younger listeners. Glad I stuck with it. Went back and downloaded all the other books in the series. I'm a fan.

A music therapist who thrives on helping others, Kendra Michaels cherishes the ordinary life she has achieved after stem cell surgery restored her sight. The skills she perfected during those sightless years - the ability to pick up the most subtle audio, olfactory, and tactile cues in the world around her - coupled with her laser-sharp mind - have made her a uniquely potent observer and problem solver. Kendra’s uncanny way of connecting the dots is as baffling to law enforcement as it is legendary.

Kept moving and did not bog down. Was hoping this would be a series. Will look for more mysteries from these authors. Appreciated no foul language or expletive bedroom scenes.

LAPD cop Scott James is not doing so well, not since a shocking nighttime assault by unidentified men killed his partner, Stephanie, nearly killed him, and left him enraged, ashamed, and ready to explode. He is unfit for duty - until he meets his new partner. Maggie is not doing so well, either. The German shepherd survived three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan sniffing explosives before she lost her handler to an IED and sniper attack, and her PTSD is as bad as Scott’s. They are each other’s last chance.

Best-selling author William Kent Krueger thrills millions with this Anthony Award-winning entry in his compelling series that already includes Anthony Award winners Iron Lake and Blood Hollow. Still troubled by an ambush that leaves his deputy lingering near death, Sheriff Cork O'Conner must investigate the mutilation murder of a Chicago businessman. Soon Cork finds himself distracted by the lovely female shadowing him and the handsome man stalking his wife.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Just started listening to this series. Have really liked up to this point. Liked this book and will listen to the next in series. But don't like books that become like a soap opera ending. If this proves to be a trend the next book in the series will be my last.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I like the twists that this series always takes.

Temperance Brennan has been asked to examine the corpses of three dead babies in Montreal. It’s a difficult assignment, complicated further by the fact that her long-time flame Detective Ryan is investigating the infants’ mother, a former (and possibly current) prostitute. When the woman flees to Edmonton, the investigation is joined by Royal Canadian Mounted Police sergeant with whom Tempe had an ill-advised fling over a decade earlier. The dissonant team heads to remotest Yellowknife - mining country - to pursue an ever more sinister trail.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I don't think it could be

Has Bones Are Forever turned you off from other books in this genre?

No but I won't be downloading anymore from this author

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Linda Emond?

I don't think it was so much the narrator as the script she was given

    Any additional comments?

Too much technical information, too many characters, hard to keep them straight in-between all the teaching. Listened all the way thinking it would have to get better but never did.

Northeast Mississippi: hill country, rugged and notorious for outlaws since the Civil War, where killings are as commonplace as in the Old West. To Quinn Colson, it's home - but not the home he left when he went to Afghanistan. Now an Army Ranger, he returns to a place overrun by corruption, and finds his uncle, the county sheriff, dead - a suicide, he's told, but others whisper murder.
