Complete with details and people. This is about a part of WWII in Pacific that is not well known. It ties together many parts of the story and makes it real. Worthwhile listen/read with ears.
Easy to listen to and understand. Detailed and full of interesting facts. Kept my interest.
I liked this in beginning but had to almost force myself to finish with too much repetitive detail. It lost me by the end.
Mary liked being a cook, but then people started getting sick. She thought it was unfair to isolate her for a time. The novel covers what she lived like, where, and what her relationships were. Well-researched and written. Seems like it could be accurate as possible.
Kept my attention with fast clear descriptions. Learned a little more than I would have liked about interstate driving, but that is in other books, too. I liked this.
This is about both German and US pilots and totally absorbs attention. Good research and wonderful writing and telling to keep this story from being confusing with so many different characters and two different Air Corps.
This did not interest me at all and I am glad it was offered for preview.
Why can I get the morning read, but the Weekend Journal does not do over the air?? I travel and don't always have a computer available, just my phone. I feel cheated that weekend WSJ does not always come like the Morning Read.
I love the calm reading.
This lost my interest by Book 2 -- never seemed to be able to develop into anything. I usually can develop interest for all kinds of reads but even after sticking through Book One, I just deleted Book 2. Sorry.
will have to see
He was probably best for genre, good balance.
Surprised that I became so involved in it. Slow start and then very good details.
He was constantly in character of teen boy and did it well-- no catering.
