My husband has recently been diagnosed with NPD.
This booked both shocked and scared me.
Shocked - because it is as if it was written about and partly by my husband, who could be the textbook examples of how Narcissistic think and act and what dramas they cause.
It scared me - because, it undermined my understanding of the idea, that people are able to make rational decisions and choices in their behaviours.
It is as if Narcissists emotional responses were limited to a set number or pre programmed reactions, none of which are rational,
This book spells hard but honest truth about Narcissists and the nature of their disorder, and it should be the Must Read for every mother to be and every teenage son or daughter, prior to their first relationship.
Yes, I would listen and re-listen to it many times. It is to the point and gives great insight to what mindfulness is about and how it can help.
