Collins Spanish with Paul Noble combines an exciting, new non-traditional approach to language learning with the easy, relaxed appeal of an audio-only product. No books. No rote memorisation. No chance of failure.

I have just begun listening to this course, but I love the way Paul Noble approaches language. He uses the knowledge you already have of English to help with learning Spanish, and instead of learning vocabulary and starting with the usual, "Buenos dias, como se llama", he gives useful building blocks that will help you build phrases, and improvise chunks of language.

For the first time, I feel like I will make real progress with learning Spanish, and actually be able to talk to people. So happy to have found this program!

Offred is a Handmaid in the Republic of Gilead, serving in the household of the enigmatic Commander and his bitter wife. She may go out once a day to markets whose signs are now pictures because women are not allowed to read. She must pray that the Commander makes her pregnant, for in a time of declining birthrates her value lies in her fertility, and failure means exile to the dangerously polluted Colonies. Offred can remember a time when she lived with her husband and daughter and had a job, before she lost even her own name....

What an amazing experience to listen to the performance of this book. The story was sad, hopeless, and agonizing, but also gripping and well told. Claire Danes does an excellent job of portraying Offred (we never learn her real name). Highly recommend!

A human diplomat creates an interstellar incident when he kills an alien diplomat in a most unusual way. To avoid war, Earth's government must find an equally unusual object: A type of sheep ("The Android's Dream"), used in the alien race's coronation ceremony. To find the sheep, the government turns to Harry Creek, ex-cop, war hero and hacker extraordinaire.

What did you love best about The Android's Dream?

This is a great offbeat sci-fi story, complete with evil aliens, world domination schemes, and plenty of intrigue. There were also many surprise twists, and some pretty funny moments.

What other book might you compare The Android's Dream to and why?

I was reminded of Star Trek episodes at certain points, but really, I can't think of another book similar to this one. The story was very unique.

Which character – as performed by Wil Wheaton – was your favorite?

I really liked his rendition of the Nidu (sp?) aliens, and also his intonation of the "prophecies". Overall, his narration was very enjoyable. He was funny, and easy to listen to.
