Great book by a true American Hero. A must read or listen. Awesome.
It is a great feeling when you find a diamond in the rough. This is a great story very well written. The characters are complex and you care about them very quickly. The narrator does a fabulous job. Simply a great listen.
Love this version. Gilberto makes a great point. I documented chapters to Books of the New Testament.
I became a Neal Stephenson fan with Cryptonomicon, but Reamde blew me away. This is an outstanding storyline that will keep your headphones in your ears from start to finish.
Birth control, feminism, LSD trips, swingers, socialism - I'm not talking about San Francisco in the 1960's, Amsterdam or even Washington DC, I'm talking about The Land of Painted Caves. I'm really surprised Ayla didn't distribute condoms or establish the United Nations while she was an acolyte. I had high hopes for this last book, and I'm so disappointed. Liberal politics have found their way into a once great series, but I'm not surprised by anything anymore.
Our ancestors were too wrapped up with mere survival to even think about the liberal bilge that seems to seep out of these once meaningful characters. Give it up Ms. Auel, you've overstayed your welcome.
Stephenson does it yet again! I appreciate how this series captured my interest with the first book and each subsequent book adds a new layer of intrigue. I've learned more about 17th Century Europe from Neal Stephenson than in four years of High School, and thoroughly enjoyed it in the process! I can't wait to tackle the final book.
