Jim Cramer's Getting Back to Even offers the most detailed guidance he has ever given on how to invest in a changed market. Savvy investors will not just survive; they will thrive. Your portfolio won't fix itself; you have to do that. It's easy to close your eyes and pretend that it all never happened, but you'll never get back to even that way, much less profit from the opportunities that this new market offers to investors who know where to put their money.

At its most basic level, Allied Capital is the story of Wall Street at its worst. But the story is much bigger than one little-known company. Fooling Some of the People All of the Time is an important call for effective law enforcement, free speech, and fair play.

If they work in investing, ohh yeah! Just shows how corruptible the media and government pretend they aren't.

The book has lots of technical descriptions that need to be re-read, never mind the lost charts. If you have the book it would be great refresher.

How, at the age of 37, did this self-proclaimed novice go from small ponds to the big sea? Now with a new afterword that looks back at how one transatlantic race changed his life, Woods takes listeners on a spectacular journey not just of traveling across the world, but of being tried in fire, learning by accepting challenges, appreciating the beauty of the open water, and living to tell about it.

  • Trading in the Zone: Master the Market with Confidence, Discipline and a Winning Attitude

Maximizing the trader's state of mind is the key to successful results. Conflicts, contradictions, and paradoxes in thinking can spell disaster for even a highly motivated, astute and well-grounded trader. Mark Douglas, an industry consultant since 1982, sends the message that a "thinking strategy" will profoundly influence a trader's success rate. Douglas addresses five very specific issues to give traders the insight and understanding about themselves that will make them consistent winners in the market. Trading in the Zone offers specific solutions to the "people factor" of commodity price movement. It uncovers the true culprit for lack of consistency when it comes to stock picking: lack of focus and self-confidence. Through simple exercises, traders will learn how to think in terms of probabilities and adopt the specific beliefs necessary to developing a winner's mindset. Along the way, they'll gain valuable insights into their own entrenched misconceptions about the market.

What made the experience of listening to Trading in the Zone the most enjoyable?

This book is so thought provoking I'm listening to this a second time.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Trading in the Zone?

Not to over think the trade, believe in your edge and act according to your trade plan.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Very monotone, it made this book a bit dry, which is sad considering the content.

What did you learn from Trading in the Zone that you would use in your daily life?

The market is not competing with you, just take what it gives you.

    Any additional comments?

Solid book, perhaps should be bought as a traditional book.
