In Dark Lycan, Christine Feehan journeyed into the heart of the Carpathians, and into the souls of two lifemates stirred by the flush of passion and the threat of annihilation. In Dark Wolf, the breathtaking story continues as the bonds of family are imperiled, and the fate of two lovers lies hidden in the seductive shadows between life and death.

What made the experience of listening to Dark Wolf the most enjoyable?

This was another excellent book from Ms. Feehan and was brought to a whole new level of excellence by the combined narration of Natalie Ross and Phil Gigante.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved that it was Skyar that saved the day.

Have you listened to any of Phil Gigante and Natalie Ross ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Phil Gigante and Natalie Ross are both fabulous narrators by themselves, but when they work together it is just magical. I highly recommend listeners to check out other books that they work on together. You will not be disappointed.

    Any additional comments?

It would be heaven if all of Ms. Feehan's books could be narrated by the combined talents of Phil Gigante and Natalie Ross.

Sydney Sage is an alchemist, one of a group of humans who dabble in magic and serve to bridge the worlds of humans and vampires. They protect vampire secrets - and human lives. In the Indigo Spell, Sydney was torn between the alchemist way of life and what her heart and gut were telling her to do. And in one breathtaking moment that Richelle Mead fans will never forget, she made a decision that shocked even her...But the struggle isn't over for Sydney. As she navigates the aftermath of her life-changing decision, she still finds herself pulled in too many directions at once.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Maybe, but I would have to explain that this is not one of Emily Shaffer better performances. It was probably decided by someone else to bring a male narrator in to do half the book and to drop Adrian's accent. Even Sidney's voice wasn't the same for the first 5 minutes of the book. In anticipation of this book I re-listened to all of the Vampire Academy books and the Bloodlines series so I had every characters voices clear in my head. So disappointing the back and forth between the male narrator and Emily Shaffer.

Please, please, please let Emily Shaffer return to narrate the remaining books by herself and bring back Adrian's accent. Ms. Shaffer has proven in book after book that she can carry it off all by herself and make a storyline come to life.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Fiery Heart?

The love blossoming between Adrian and Sydney.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I appreciated Emily Shaffer narration of Sydney and the rest of the characters. The male narrator was painful to listen to.

    Any additional comments?

I love all of Richelle Meads books but this one was a little challenging at times. I suspect Ms. Mead is trying to show Adrian's vulnerable side but sometimes he sounds like a child that needs to be comforted and reassured constantly. I hope in the next two books Adrian finds his way and becomes the man he needs to be.

Victorian romance mixes seamlessly with elegant prose and biting wit—and werewolves—in Gail Carriger’s delightful debut novel. Soulless introduces Alexia Tarabotti, a parasol-wielding Londoner getting dangerously close to spinster status. But there are more important things than finding a husband. For Alexia was born without a soul, giving her the ability to render any vampire or werewolf completely powerless.

Audible did it again. They tease you with the $4.95 special and then your hooked. At least I was and had to get the rest of the series. This was my first steampunk book. But, don't let that scare you off. It's just historical romance with science fiction thrown in. Emily Gray was an excellent narrator. I will have to find other books she has narrated for. I have read that the author is planning a spin off from this series and look forward to it.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

    A different narrator.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Hard to tell. The narrator was too distracting.

Would you be willing to try another one of William Dufris’s performances?

    No.

What character would you cut from Dream Warrior?

The book was fine it was the narration.

    Any additional comments?

I love Sherrilyn Kenyon's books but this narrator does not do this book justice. I should have paid attention to the other reviewers.

Why we think it’s a great listen: An all-time Audible favorite that mixes historic fiction, adventure, and romance with one of the most fascinating literary devices: time travel. Outlander introduces an exhilarating world of heroism and breathtaking thrills as one woman is torn between past and present, passion and love. In 1945, former combat nurse Claire Randall returns from World War II and joins her husband for a second honeymoon. But their blissful reunion is shattered....

Would you listen to Outlander again? Why?

Yes. It is a rich and engaging book.

What did you like best about this story?

The interaction of the characters. The friendship that builds to a romance.

What about Davina Porter’s performance did you like?

Davina Porter is wonderful in giving each character a rich and believable voice. This is her series I doubt anyone could do as good as job. It would be a tragedy if she didn't continue the series.

    Any additional comments?

I purchased Outlander during one of Audibles sales and forgot about it. What a mistake.
This is one of the best series ever. When I was done I had to listen to the whole series. I laughed and cried. Davina Porter is wonderful in narrating the series. It is well worth your credits.

What three words best describe Angela Dawe’s performance?

Ok. I really appreciate Angela Dawe in the Nalini Singh series, that is her series and she really shines. But I truly miss Cynthia Holloway.
Clare's voice sometimes sounds just like any of the male voices. It has been at times confusing who's speaking.
Learning to love the series with Ms. Holloway's style for the last 11 books, it will be difficult for the fans of the series to get use to Ms. Dawe voice.
    Please bring back Cynthia Holloway.

Maybe it was the Shenanigans gift certificate that put her over the edge. When children's librarian and self-professed nice girl Jane Jameson is fired by her beastly boss and handed $25 in potato skins instead of a severance check, she goes on a bender that's sure to become Half Moon Hollow legend. On her way home, she's mistaken for a deer, shot, and left for dead.

Brittany Callaghan thinks she's dreaming when a blond, nearly seven-feet-tall Nordic god shows up on her doorstep in her tiny California town. He claims to be a barbarian warrior in need of her help. Though a stunning, statuesque beauty herself, intelligent and independent Brittany has struggled hard to earn respect in a man's world. She is taken aback when Dalden, a spectacular Viking who is a long way from home, needs her help - and is willing to pay for it.

Where does Heart of a Warrior rank among all the audiobooks you???ve listened to so far?

I normally love all of Johanna Lindsey's books and own many of them but this was a bit complicated. There was a lot of explanation in the 1st chapter and I kept waiting for the story to start. It eventually does and gets better.
