All year the half-bloods have been preparing for battle against the Titans, knowing the odds of victory are grim. Kronos's army is stronger than ever, and with every god and half-blood he recruits, the evil Titan's power only grows. While the Olympians struggle to contain the rampaging monster Typhon, Kronos begins his advance on New York City, where Mount Olympus stands virtually unguarded. Now it's up to Percy Jackson and an army of young demigods to stop the Lord of Time.

Good story that held the attention of the listener. The narrator could have been a bit more versitile but did a passable job.

With his father's rodeo legacy to continue and a prosperous spread to run, Walker Parrish has no time to dwell on wrecked relationships. But country-western sweetheart Casey Elder is out of the spotlight and back in Parable, Montana. And Walker can't ignore that his "act now, think later" passion for Casey has had consequences. Two teenage consequences! Keeping her children's paternity under wraps has always been part of Casey's plan to give them normal, uncomplicated lives. Now the best way to hold her family together seems to be to let Walker be a part of it - as her husband of convenience.

This was the worst story line anyone could come up with. I have read a couple of this authors books and thought that this one sounded okay but after about the fist hour of listening I was amazed that anyone could come up with such a ridiculous idea. To advertise this as romance is false advertising. It would be better in the comedy section and even better in total farce. It was not the narrators fault as I have listened to him read other stories. This was one that the author should have left in the garbage bin. Please do not waste your time on this one. I will not buy another of her stories. Bad!!!!

Heralded as an instant classic of fantasy literature, Maguire has written a wonderfully imaginative retelling of The Wizard of Oz told from the Wicked Witch's point of view. More than just a fairy tale for adults, Wicked is a meditation on the nature of good and evil.

Victorian London is a cesspool of crime, and Scotland Yard has only 12 detectives - known as “The Murder Squad” - to investigate thousands of murders every month. Created after the Metropolitan Police’s spectacular failure to capture Jack the Ripper, The Murder Squad suffers rampant public contempt. They have failed their citizens. When Walter Day, the squad’s newest hire, is assigned the case of the murdered detective, he finds a strange ally in the Yard’s first forensic pathologist, Dr. Bernard Kingsley.

Somewhere in the once-placid streets of San Francisco, a young man is on the run, charged by the media with a crime he didn't commit, hounded by demagogues, hunted by a desperate police department. One cop knows that Kevin Shea is innocent of a brutal racial murder. An ambitious politician will use Shea for her own ends. And a down-and-out lawyer is all that stands between Kevin Shea and an even more atrocious crime. For when there's no law left, justice is the only hope.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

This could be a very good book but the monotone, lifeless narrator has made it a story I can not get excited to listen to.

What didn’t you like about David Colacci’s performance?

    Nothing

    Any additional comments?

After listening to the Percy Jackson Series of books my kids and I were really looking forward to this new series it was very disappointing. The story line was forced and seemed to just be a bunch of knowledge about the differences between the Roman Gods and the Greek one. I finished the book but it lost the kids attention about 15 minutes into it. The story just did not flow very well. I should have only bought the first book of the series but I unfortunately bought both at the same time so am stuck with the second book. Not sure it will ever be listened to.

I found this a poor attempt to continue the story of Eragon. I was very hopeful that the story would low as the first one did but have found it hard to get any excitement out of this Book 2. I would not recammend and am sorry that I wasted 2 credits to get this book. I will slog through to the end but will not wasted money on the next book.
