During a train trip from Chicago to Texas in the late 1940s, A.W. Tozer began to write The Pursuit of God. He wrote all night, and when the train arrived at his destination, the rough draft was done. The depth of this book has made it an enduring favorite.

If you could sum up The Pursuit of God in three words, what would they be?

I have recommended this book countless times to those who are seeking a deeper more personal relationship with God.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Pursuit of God?

I was struck by how current the text still seems despite being written for a previous generation.

Whether you speak from the pulpit, podium, or the front of a classroom, you don't need much more than blank stares and faraway looks to tell you you’re not connecting. Take heart before your audience takes leave! You can convey your message in the powerful, life-changing way it deserves to be told. An insightful, entertaining parable that's an excellent guide for any speaker, Communicating for a Change takes a simple approach to delivering effectively.

Would you consider the audio edition of Communicating for a Change to be better than the print version?

This is a great example of the power of an audio book. The narrarator excells at telling the begining chapters as it is mostly dialogue between characters. I found myself laughign outloud at his interpreation of the characters.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the opening story that provided the listener to be drawn into the character's dilemma. It made the more technical sections more interesting and fun to read as you related the material back to the opening story.

Have you listened to any of Lloyd James’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Lloyd James is spot on as always!

    Any additional comments?

Every communicator would be wise to listen to this tale and apply what they learn.

As you are about to discover, the principle of the path is at work in your life every single day. Once embraced, this compelling principle will empower you to identify and follow the path that leads to your desired destination. And this same principle will enable you to avoid life-wasting detours along the way.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely. This is a book that will be equally enjoyed by young adults just starting their paths in life or those of us much further down the road.

    Any additional comments?

Andy Stanley provides concrete illustrations of the powerful principle, "Direction—not intention—determines our destination." Solidly biblical and profoundly practical.
