I had difficulty understanding the prose of this work. The author seemed to include too much detail that didn't lend to the story or progression of the story. Details seemed to nag me and I felt disinterested at times.
I enjoyed the imagination in the work. At time I could visualize the world the author wanted to paint for me. However, the author didn't bridge the minor character into the story. It was like listening to two separate works.
No, but I wish Mikael Naramore would have read the work slower. With the extra annoying details the author added, while being read at a quick pace, didn't help my comprehension of the work.
Yes, because the screen writers would cut out the unnecessary crap.
Aspartame is bad for you.
Solid story. Liked hearing the Syndicate side of the aftermath. Great characters. It's like a planet where everyone is evil and suddenly, as a whole, they all discover kindness in the same month.
Narrator seems to stumble at times but improves. And then I had to use my big words to complete this review. Penis.
Good characters and story. The author is responsive on Twitter too. Enjoyed the plot line and action. Plenty of action.
I like a series but this book could have done more than just paint the foundation for the rest. Felt hollow, like looking a tubes of paint and a blank canvas.
Put more story in it.
Narrator was good.
I found the story to be dry and juvenile. The narrator's voice I didn't like. Maybe I'm spoiled on Brent Weeks & Jim Butcher.
Luke Daniels reading it.
