On June 9, 2008, the butchered body of Travis Alexander was found in his Mesa, Arizona, home. The grisly nature of his death made instant headlines: With 29 knife wounds, his throat slit, and a gunshot to the head, Travis was left to die. The prime suspect in the case was Alexander's ex-girlfriend, the attractive and soft-spoken Jodi Arias. Though Arias initially said that she was nowhere near the scene of crime, little about this case was as it seemed, and before long she had been caught lying to police. As the investigation progressed, her lies evolved multiple times before finally resting on an appalling claim: She had killed Travis in self-defense.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

    Yep. It's a good read.

Would you recommend Exposed to your friends? Why or why not?

It's a well written and factual account of a murderer who proves to remain unrepentant, and still so full of what are quite obviously lies about the innocent life she ended with 29 stabs, a gunshot to the brain. And, as if she needed to kill her victim a third time, she slit her lover's throat.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

She mispronounced names often. Names like Jeanine DeMarte. This pronounced; DE MARTEE. The narrator pronounced it like so: DE MART. That proved to be annoying.

If you could give Exposed a new subtitle, what would it be?

Exposed, the continuing saga of one of America's most hateful murdering sociopaths.

    Any additional comments?

I was so happily surprised upon listening to this book, because frankly, I really can't stand Ms Jane Velez Mitchell. I find her yelling and over the top sensationalism to be nearly unwatchable. However, this book is one that I will listen to again, and probably, again. I'll do this because it's well written, the facts are told in a most unbiased manner, and she puts in just enough behind the scenes information to keep the book readable and/or listen - able. JVM did a good job on this book, to my delighted surprise. Buy it!
