  • Divine Justice

    • UNABRIDGED (11 hrs and 37 mins)
    • By David Baldacci
    • Narrated By Ron McLarty
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Known by his alias, "Oliver Stone," John Carr is the most wanted man in America. With two pulls of the trigger, the men who destroyed Stone's life and kept him in the shadows were finally silenced. But his freedom comes at a steep price: The assassinations he carried out prompt the highest levels of the U.S. government to unleash a massive manhunt. Behind the scenes, master spy Macklin Hayes is playing a very personal game of cat and mouse. He, more than anyone, wants Stone dead.

    "Divine Justice"

I have purchased and listened to each of the Oliver Stone series by Baldacci. This was the best yet. If you like mystery and espionage, I highly recommend it.

  • The Arabian Nights: Their Best Known Tales

    • UNABRIDGED (11 hrs and 8 mins)
    • By Kate Douglas Wiggin, Nora A. Smith
    • Narrated By Johanna Ward

Here is a selection of some of the best-known and best-loved tales of The Arabian Nights, including "Sinbad", "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves", "Aladdin", "The Talking Bird", and the "Fisherman and the Genie". In this "treasure house of pleasant things" you will find golden palaces, gem studded caves, and breathtaking gardens.

    Joe Pawlowski says: "Lively Nights"
    "The Arabian Nights"

Prior to listening to "The Arabian Nights", my only knowledge of the literary tales was poorly made movies. I had no idea of the depth to the tales of Aladdin, Sinbad and Ali Babba and the Forty thieves.
These Middle Eastern classics were expertly translated and excitedly read.

  • The Kite Runner

    • ABRIDGED (6 hrs and 17 mins)
    • By Khaled Hosseini
    • Narrated By Khaled Hosseini

Taking us from Afghanistan in the final days of its monarchy to the present, The Kite Runner is the unforgettable and beautifully told story of the friendship between two boys, Amir and Hassan, growing up in Kabul. Their intertwined lives, and their fates, reflect the eventual tragedy of the world around them. When Amir and his father flee the country for a new life in California, Amir thinks that he has escaped his past. And yet he cannot leave the memory of Hassan behind him.

A cultural must read. I first read "A Thousand Splendid Suns", though it was the author second book, the order does not matter.
Both books brought tears to my eyes, and sympathy to my heart.
    Wonderfully written and wonderfully read.
Your heart will break for the poor, simple, innocent people of Afghanistan that have nothing to do with their countries politics or hatred of the west. They struggle each day to fight for the basic human rights we so take for granted. A roof overhead, food and education for their young. You will feel shame for the things we take everyday for granted.
A brilliant author. I couldn't recommend it enough!
