Yes. I've read the book about a year ago, and I found that Daniel Davis has wonderful voices for the different characters in this book. It really helps that he has a deep rich British accent.
It is nice to learn more about Darth Sidious and his rise to power. He is a complex character and this book really helps me to understand why he did what he did, and exactly how he became Emperor Palpatine.
British accent. Enough said.
The sound effects and the reader's accents were amazing! This is the best audiobook I've ever listened to. Not to mention I'm a huge Star Wars fan.
This is a lot like a cross between a great unabridged book like Lord of the Rings, and a high quality radio drama.
His accents were mostly spot on. Especially Luke Skywalker and Admiral Thrawn he did a great job varying his tones and subtle voice inflections.
The first time I heard the main "Jedi music" playing when the book mentioned Luke I was hooked.
The music, sound effects, amazing voice acting, and fantastic story line all together bring a regular boring day of work into a time that I actually look forward to now.
