    Amazon Customer says: "Totally unexpected"
"Nice book but more of an aplogetic episode"
    Overall

While the caption and name of this book caught my attention, it is more geared for a reader that is in need of an apologetic minister, not for those of us who are devout and already passionate about our faith.

  • The Little Big Things: 163 Ways to Pursue EXCELLENCE

"Years ago, I wrote about a retail store in the Palo Alto environs—a good one, which had a box of two-cent candies at the checkout. I subsequently remember that 'little' parting gesture of the two-cent candy as a symbol of all that is Excellent at that store. Dozens of people who have attended seminars of mine have come up to remind me, sometimes 15 or 20 years later, of “the two-cent candy story,” and to tell me how it had a sizable impact on how they did business."

Alexander says: "Really hard to listen"
    "good read.. too much soapbox.."
    Overall

The concept and basic info from this book is captivating and useful - although I could do without the overused gimmicks like " the three things you need to know are LISTEN LISTEN and LISTEN" - and goofball comments about business lessons I could learn from Barack Obama -

A decent book, but one better served in paperback vs. audio since these chapters would be easier to digest little by little..

  • The Great Crash of 1929

    • UNABRIDGED (6 hrs and 39 mins)

    Story

With grace and wit, America's foremost economist examines the boom-and-bust that led to the stock market crash of 1929. Economic writings are rarely notable for their entertainment value, but this widely admired best-seller is the exception. Galbraith's light touch makes his expert analysis of America's greatest financial disaster a surprisingly engaging listen for anyone.

Nelson Alexander says: "The HIstory of the Future"
    "pushing a political agenda -"
    Overall

while the historical information in this book was very interesting - and why I bought the book - the political pushing is irritating. The author is for massive taxation as a way to prevent people from having too much money to invest which creates "excessive speculation" if you can believe such a thing. God forbid you should be allowed to have capital to invest in business.
