In this age of billion dollar athletic marketing campaigns, “feel good” philosophy with no connection to reality, and a Sports Media echo chamber that’s all too eager swallow whatever idiotic notion happens to be in vogue at the moment, it’s tough to find people who aren’t afraid to say what they’re really thinking.

Would you try another book from Colin Cowherd and/or Colin Cowherd?

Maybe. Disappointed I spent $15 when 90% of this material has been covered on his show already.

If you’ve listened to books by Colin Cowherd before, how does this one compare?

    N/A

Have you listened to any of Colin Cowherd’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This book is the same as his daily show. Not much new covered. His points are strong but it was nearly identical to his show.

Did You Herd Me! inspire you to do anything?

    No

    Any additional comments?

I'm a big, big fan of Colin's daily show on ESPN Radio. His show is the only reason I keep the ESPN Insider subscription (download his podcasts to avoid commercials). Unfortunately, I felt like I was getting a "Best of The Herd" in this book. He makes some really interesting and entertaining points but I knew what he was going to say before he said it as a result of regular listening.

If you don't listen to The Herd, you should buy this book. Colin's perspective is one that I enjoy (of course, I know just as many who cannot stand his show). However, if you listen to The Herd, do yourself a favor and save the money.
