At first, the case of the bodies found in a Moscow park looked straightforward: a "troika", probably three on a bottle, drunk together and then frozen to death together in the brutal Russian night. But Chief Homicide Investigator Arkady Renko hits a sharp and complicated turn with the arrival of the KGB's Pribluda. Suddenly, his access to a routine investigation is blocked. Why?

Would you try another book from Martin Cruz Smith and/or Henry Strozier?

I love Martin Cruz Smith books and especially Gorky Park

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Henry Strozier?

I hated the narration by Henry Strozier. It is a pity that Henry did not find out the correct pronunciation for the Russian words he was using. I cringed. After living in Moscow for time I felt like he sounded like a tourist - destroying the Russian language. I also felt that he could have given more life to the characters. He sounded as if he was just reading the book rather than reading it to an audience.

The Fiery Cross is Diana Gabaldon's fifth novel in her award-winning Outlander series, featuring 18th-century Scotsman Jamie Fraser and his 20th-century time-traveling wife, Claire Randall.

I made the mistake of assuming that the narration would be done by the same person as the previous titles. I was really disappointed to hear a different voice.
The abridged version is really chopped up. I thought that there was a problem with my ipod until I saw that this is an abridged version. I have read the books as well bought them through audible and luckily I remembered what was happening as this version of the story is terrible. A pity because it is a good read.
