There was one factor that the terrorists didn’t take into account when they struck the Capitana oil platform off the coast of Colombia - slaughtering much of the crew and blowing up the platform - and that was the Capitana crew chief, Dewey Andreas. Dewey, former Army Ranger and Delta, survives the attack, rescuing as many of his men as possible. But the battle has just begun....

Well thought out plot, this is the first Ben Coes book I've read. I'll certainly be back for more. Coes is every bit as capable as Vince Flynn or Brad Thor. There are a few errors in the performance i.e. being chased by a Van in one paragraph and a Sedan in the next, but those distractions are minor. Hermann is an excellent narrator, I love the Scottish accent.

From its first moments, Hunter takes you on a nonstop thrill ride: from the top floor of the CIA, to the marbled corridors of Capitol Hill...from the posh hotels of downtown Washington, to the city's mean, violent streets. It introduces a colorful new hero for our time - and a dazzling heroine every bit his equal. A spy mystery...a crime thriller...a passionate romance: Hunter is a genre-bending novel unlike any you've read. Deviously plotted, filled with vivid characters, and propelled at a breakneck pace.

Michael F. Dickey says: "A great philosophical action romance..."

I'm glad I bought this book on Audible and didn't pay retail for the CD version. The story is predictable and the narration is tenuous. Still the book deals with a pertainent subject and the Author is well informed. Overall a B-.
