Wish to God I hadn't read/heard any of this book. Really loved my memories of Shirley Jones as the young ingenue in all the musicals and movies I remember so fondly. I'm now going back to those memories and hoping to somehow purge her boring recounting of sexual exploits, the endowment of her step-son, and the foretelling of ok pornography that I happily never got to. Her co-writer should have known better. Really hated this book… but still so love Madam Liberian.
Another great book by Kootnz! I had heard this wasn't one of Kootnz's best, but I'll be talking to those folks soon and put them in their proper place. I LOVED this book! And... don't really understand the negative comments regarding Ari Meyer's reading of it. Her voice was PERFECT for the entire mood of the story... she did an amazing job, setting every chapter's mood as I can't imagine anyone else doing as well. Her hauntingly beautiful voice was perfect for the story.
