I now own the first two of the family Jensen. They are easy listening with good plot line.
These compare to Lamour only better in my opinion.
Good from start to finish.
Preacher. Inside every man is a boy who wanted to be a crotchety old mountain man.
You won't regret the purchase.
The story of hardship turned to riches. Typical Lamour story line but I loved it. Lamour always ends up with the girl, goldmine, horse ranch, water rights and severely flogs all the bad guys donkeys.
Did I forget to say I loved it? There aren't many Louis Lamour books I don't like. Even if he can't remember that the gun he just tucked his gun in his pants and then drew it from a holster. Or that the rifle his hero is shooting hasn't been invented yet. So what it's a good clean day winning, girl chasing western!
I would stick with the first books in the series. They were great and filled with what you expect from Dean Koontz. This was a bit disappointing and tedious.
The end was very predictable and lackluster. Not the typical greatness that we have come to enjoy from this author.
Nothing stands out.
No. Not in this book.
I suppose it's very difficult to end such a popular series and keep everybody happy. This just seemed to be a bit rushed and not well thought out. It wasn't catchy. It didn't grab hold of you and keep you until the end. If it is truly "the end" it leaves many unanswered questions and loose ends. Dean Koontz is and will remain my personal favorite author in spite of my disappointment.
PLEASE FINISH THE MOONLIT BAY SERIES! And yes I wrote that in all caps. That was me begging loudly.
Intriguing. It was well written and kept my attention.
Scott Brick has an amazing voice. He makes so many stories that he reads have an extra personality. The reader makes or destroys the audio book.
Many scenes in this book were intense. They kept my attention. It was a good listen. No extreme emotion but many instances of nail biting.
Preston/Child books are in general very good reads. Some of them leave a little to be desired in the end but this one was overall very enjoyable.
They did a wonderful job on this story! Five stars all the way! The voices were all excellent. Loved it! Have listened to it twice already and will again :).
The story was put together very well. I really enjoyed it. At first I didn't like the readers voice but after a while it grew on me. I hope the second book is as good as the first! Can't wait to hear it :)
Somewhere in the middle.
It will change the way you look at your world. Take time to smell the roses.
It all moved me. This book will keep you awake at night, long after the iphone shuts off.
Who knows? It may never happen. I wonder if empires of the world in our past thought the same? Hmmm.
The story is riveting.
As always Scott Brick excels.
Too many to list!
Get it you won't regret it. Can't wait for the last in the trilogy.
John Flanagan is a wonderful storyteller. The Ranger's Apprentice series are books for all ages. Get ready to watch the sun come with the audio books. Well done!
John Keating makes these audio books shine.
