I loved Chainfire! The story is definitely a unique one. It has the epic elements of a damsel in distress story, but with original, and really good, twists.
It is a first-hand account of not only the mission that killed Osama bin Laden, but also a peak into the daily life of a Navy SEAL.
Well, Mark Owen was really the only character described in length, so there's really no comparison.
He put emotional emphasis where it was needed
Depends. If you mean moved as in brought me to tears. No, not necessarily. If you mean moved as in opened my eyes to how Osama thought, yeah. You'll see when you read it.
Exciting. Tragic. Amazing.
Oooh. Tough. I've always liked Zedd for his humor and wisdom, but i also really like Richard and Kahlan. Three very strong and well developed characters.
Zedd, Hands down. Sam Tsoutsouvas narrates the series best, in my opinion, and i like all his voices, but Zedd is my favorite
A simple knife will change everything.
I loved this book. It, as well as the series itself is highly recommended.
Yes. I just finished the Series and LOVED IT!
Hmm. Well, it's a toss-up between Percy and Annabeth. I like Percy because i can sort of relate to his mortal life, and i like his ability to take action on the quest. And Annabeth is just awesome. Period.
Jesse has a knack for expressing the emotions and attitudes of the characters very well.
No. To be honest, it took me a bit to get into it, but that's more because I'm not 12 anymore, but i still loved it!
You won't regret reading (listening) to this!
The story was slow going at first but it really picks up. It definitely had it's share of twists and turns.
YES! I WANT GUARDS OF THE SHADOWLANDS BOOK 3!!!
She's very good at portraying the teenage attitudes of the characters, both when she narrates the thoughts of the main character and when she reads the words of others.
No. Not until it picked up, that is.
I loved the whole idea of the factions, each one representing a virtue. Dauntless is a really cool faction!
I liked Four. He is a strong character. He is usually calm, cool, and collected. He is stern, but can be sensitive and affectionate at times, too. He's tough, but not so tough that he's forgotten to be human.
She performed really well. She portrayed Tris' emotions really well.
Was much better than i expected at first. Great book. Looking forward to reading "Insurgent".
The book started off kind of slow, and I kept thinking "okay, the first book was great, so i'll finish this one, give it a chance." And i'm so glad i did! There's a major twist in the book that changed my mind. Well worth the wait! Highly recommended!
I found this by way of audible advertising. Great book. Loved the story. Looking forward to the next one.
Both this and it's predecessor, The Omen Machine, are very dark compared to the rest of series. I can't decide which take is better, the original books or the new, darker side of the story. They're both great and highly recommended. Anyway, I loved this book!
The Chainfire Trilogy contimues in all it's epic glory! And who better to finish out the series than Sam Tsoutsouvas, the narrator of Wizard's First Rule. Great story, great narration, great book all around!
