Sixteenth-century Spanish gentleman Don Quixote, fed by his own delusional fantasies, takes to the road in search of chivalrous adventures. But his quest leads to more trouble than triumph. At once humorous, romantic, and sad, Don Quixote is a literary landmark. This fresh edition, by award-winning translator Edith Grossman, brings the tale to life as never before.

What did you like best about this story?

    Accessibility, still funny in 2014.

    Any additional comments?

First time reading this classic novel, narration is great.4/5 stars because so far, there's an error in my file during chapter 35, where the novel skips ahead for a few minutes, then goes back to the skipped portion of the story, then jumps forward again to where the story should be.

After 20 years in Britain, Bryson returned to the U.S. and decided to reacquaint himself with his native country by walking the 2,100-mile Appalachian Trail, which stretches from Georgia to Maine. This is his humorous, inspiring account.

What disappointed you about A Walk in the Woods?

Why would a book this short be abridged? I wish I had bought it with my computer instead of using the app. When I did a search using the app, only this version (the abridged) came up, and I assumed this was the only version Audible had.

What did you like best about this story?

That the author was the narrator.
