While in Paris on business, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon receives an urgent late-night phone call. The elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum, a baffling cipher found near the body. As Langdon and gifted French cryptologist, Sophie Neveu, sort through the bizarre riddle, they are stunned to discover a trail of clues hidden in the works of Da Vinci, clues visible for all to see and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.

    "Da Vinci Code"
    Overall

I was extremely pleased with the detail and suspense of this book. This was my first read of Brown and it set me off to read his other works. Though some won't read because they believe it is "pure fiction", and offends their religious beliefs, I enjoy a good piece of fiction. A must for anyone that can look past the fact or fiction of the religious content.

    "A good one for Brown"
    Overall

Excellent mystery (clue solving novel). Dan Brown again gives us a facinating story to follow along with some real bad guys. It will probably not be difficult for readers to determine the how, but the who and why keep you guessing.

In Berlin, a woman vanishes from the city streets. In Paris, a man plunges from the Eiffel Tower. In Denver, a small plane crashes into the mountains. In Manhattan, a body washes ashore from the East River. At first these seem to be random incidents, but the police soon discover that all four of the victims are connected to Kingsley International Group (KIG), the largest think tank in the world.

    Overall

I have been reading Sheldon off and on since I was in my teens. I found his books, full of travel and facinating. However, I was some what disappointed with this title. I found it trite, cliche, and the ending very uneventful. If you are a Sheldon fan this is a lite, quick read to keep your mind occupied. Unfortunately, this title will not bring in new Sheldon fans.

When the NSA's invincible code-breaking machine encounters a mysterious code it cannot break, the agency calls its head cryptographer, Susan Fletcher, a brilliant, beautiful mathematician. What she uncovers sends shock waves through the corridors of power. The NSA is being held hostage, not by guns or bombs, but by a code so complex that if released it would cripple U.S. intelligence.

    Overall

For any one that works with databases, encryption software, etc. Or for anyone who thinks "Big Brother" is up to something and likes to read about it. I found this to be a very thrilling book of what might actually be a possibility in the future. Any maybe Brown has some "inside" information that we don't had is already happening. It was easy to dicpher the villian early on, so the great surprise was in the key.

What he discovers is unimaginable: a deadly vendetta against the Catholic Church by a centuries-old underground organization, the Illuminati. Desperate to save the Vatican from a powerful time bomb, Langdon joins forces in Rome with the beautiful and mysterious scientist Vittoria Vetra.

Not Brown's best work, but still a thrilling mystery. Some of the weaving through the Vatican was not all that exciting but still recommend for those that liked the Da Vinci Code.

All good things must come to an end, Constant Listener, and not even Stephen King can write a story that goes on forever. The tale of Roland Deschain's relentless quest for the Dark Tower has, the author fears, sorely tried the patience of those who have followed it from its earliest chapters. But attend to it a while longer, if it pleases you, for this volume is the last, and often the last things are best.

"Final saga of Rowland and his ka-tet"
    Overall

This a must read for all King fans. Real fans. The reason I kept with King all of these years is because I didn't want every book I picked up to have a happy ending. If you do, don't read King. I think there are long passages in this saga where King got tired of writing this tale, but I think he knew the final chapter long before it was written. I am sure there are many who won't read it that know exactly the feeling that Rowland has at the end. I have had it a few times myself. The journey is a great one, and you get the sense that this journey has consumed King for many years and he is greatful for the final telling. I can't condem him for that. After reading this book, I am still a King fan and always will be. I can honestly say I was not dissapointed.

The next-to-last novel in Stephen King's seven-volume magnum opus, Song of Susannah is a fascinating key to the unfolding mystery of the Dark Tower.

    "Song of Susannah"
    Overall

Long awaited the continuation of this series. Felt it was a little drawn out, (but it's King). Find that the travel through the different worlds is not as fun as previous in this series or as in the Talisman. Still think the series is a must for King fans.
