This had to be the best POV book I have ever read. You didn't need to read the first book in order to understand this book. This may have even BETTER than Easy. I loved his Grandpas' words of wisdom and how he really used those later in life. The author did a great job developing the special bond between Landon and him. I loved Brandon even more in this book. It really hits home the saying you can't judge someone by their looks. Plus you never know what someone has been through or is going through. GREAT BOOK! You will not regret reading it.
There are too many great moments in this book to just name one, but when he talks about his mom and her rape/death stands out the most to me. It was so heartbreaking.
Zachary Webber did a great job. Made me fall in love with Landon/Lucas.
This was a gut wrenching book. It made me feel every emotional scene in the book.
I loved listening to Making Faces, it showed true emotions.
The story had a true lesson in, that true beauty lies within.
Rob Shapiro did a good job, I enjoyed hearing his voice.
Beauty should be felt and not seen. While outer beauty can fade, what you are on the inside shines on forever, which is either your true beauty or ugliness.
This was a really great story, every younger person who may or may not be struggling with self image should read this. I've have asked my two sons this all the time when dating, are they pretty on the inside? Because it really doesn't matter if they are beauty queen, if they are ugly on the inside. Great job Amy Harmon! This was my first book by you and it won't be my last.
