When her friend vanishes from a cruise ship, reporter Darcy St. James isn't satisfied with their explanation that she simply left her job of her own accord. Something isn't lining up, and Darcy believes the only way to find the truth is to put herself in Abby's position. Within days, Darcy learns her friend wasn't the only person to disappear mysteriously. Last summer, a woman vanished under almost identical circumstances. Gage McKenna has taken a summer-long stint leading adventure excursions for the passengers of various cruise lines that dock for a few days of sightseeing.

A thriller unlike any you have ever heard. A love strong enough to bring a tremor to your bones. A sacrifice powerful enough to make heaven weep. At the close of World War II, a shell-shocked soldier, Jan Jovic, was forced to inflict a game of life and death on a peaceful Bosnian community. In a few short hours, this young man was confronted by more love--and hate--than most experience in a lifetime. Years later, Jan has become a world-renown writer with widespread influence in the United States....

Kent Anthony is a brilliant software engineer who is cashing in on a brilliant career. He's finally living the idyllic life, far from thoughts of theft and murder and other kinds of horrible criminal behavior. He's left his past far behind.... or so he thinks. This story will bring you face to face with a hidden world more real than most people ever realize; a world where the unseen is more powerful than anything seen.

When Conrad Davis crashes his car, he should be dead. Instead, he finds himself in a parallel universe with a single difference from ours - Jesus Christ did not come 2000 years ago! Conrad finds himself in the midst of events surrounding a man named Eli - events that carry strong contemporary echoes of the life of Jesus. Following Eli, Conrad is challenged to accept what he witnesses, just as Christ’s apostles must have been challenged. Eli gives a unique twist to a question many people have asked themselves over the past two millennia: How would I react if I lived in the time of Jesus?

A cranky, atheistic philosophy professor loves to shred the faith of incoming freshmen. He is chosen by a group of scientists to create a philosophy for a computer-generated world exactly like ours. Much to his frustration every model he introduces—from Darwinism, to Existentialism, to Relativism, to Buddhism—fails. The only way to preserve the computer world is to introduce laws from outside their system through a Law Giver.....

What do you think your next listen will be?

I am in search of a new Historical fiction writer and perhaps a little harsh with my assessment here. I'v read most all of Francine Rivers, Lynn Austin, Frank Peretti and a few Colleen Coble. I will continue on my quest for a "page turner".

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Tavia Gilbert's voice inflections and "southern" dialect left me cringing. The over accentuating of characters were distracting.

    Any additional comments?

    Corny. I couldn't finish.
