I had heard two other of Karen White's books, On Folly Beach and The Beach Trees, and really enjoyed them. I thought, this is an author from whom I would really like to hear more.
I LOVED The Time Between. It was so unpredictable and a beautiful story of sisterly relationship and healing. I can't recommend it enough !
I was a little surprised by the somewhat abrupt ending to the story. I loved the trilogy!
Songs in Ordinary Times was quite a story. The writing was well crafted and Sandra Burr's performance was terrific, as always. But, I kept hoping for something good to happen to these characters. It was just plain depressing, at times. There were many many threads and subplots which sometimes were hard to remember and follow. And I don't know when I've hated an antagonist so much. Also, it was very long and the misery just went on and on. Finally, after more than twenty-five hours of stress, the ending gave a bit of a reprise.
I probably won't listen to this one again, although I am somewhat curious about the movie.
What a beautiful story. I loved "Power of One," but this book I couldn't stop listening to. I was truly sad to have it end. I would listen again right away, but it is a bit intense for that.
I'm so sorry that I didn't discover Mr. Courtney until after he left this world. What a gifted author !
I absolutely love the Outlander Series. The books never seem to be as long as they are. I am always sad to have them end. I think I'll listen to all of them again, so the wait for the next doesn't seem as long :)
I was already a Kristin Hannah fan, but this is my favorite of all. The relationships were so
touching. The unfolding of the tale was spellbinding. I am going to buy it for my daughters for Christmas. I really loved this book !
