I enjoyed this listen, the story was good and kept me interested. The narrator was great. I listened to the whole thing in one day!
I was pretty excited about listening to this book. I had the series listed on goodreads for ages to read. My excitement was short lived however, I really couldn't get into the story line. I hated the way the main character is described and she had no personality to me. I also really hated the narration, I actually feel bad writing this but the voice was like nails on a chalkboard. All in all this was not for me.
I felt like I could see everything coming in this story and it was so played out and boring.
I really didn't like this story and female narrator really irritated me, I ended up but this on the highest speed possible as I wanted to get it over with as soon as possible.
Roddy Doyle had me crying with laughter and teary from emotion.
I loved this read, the narrator was great. I could picture this like a movie in my mind.
Some parts where so funny I wouldn't recommend walking around listening, I think I looked like a mad lady while shopping when I couldn't stop laughing!
So many! I loved the devil in a blue dress scene
No I haven't
You want to see this!
He said, she said over and over again, please veronica think of something else to say instead! I have never heard these words repeated so often in a audio book.
Most interesting was 4's relationship with his family.
Yes I enjoyed reading the book and Emma Galvin is a great narrator
Ok, honestly I thought I was going to throw my phone to the ground if I heard 'He said' 'I said' 'she said' one more time. It was doing my head in and I some how put up with it throughout the next two books
Yes, the differences where there
I wanted to read this because the show ended so abruptly, I had no idea how different the book is compared to the show. Finding out there are 12 members of the circle and Faye is not the worse or most bitchy member/ Cassie's strong feelings of sisterhood and friendship for Diane was an eye opener.
Not much really, it would have been nice for there to be more spells in the first book. I think the book could have gone on a bit longer to have more of an impact
I liked the narrator, cant fault her.
Yes, but I cannot seem to find it
