  • For Whom the Spell Tolls: Dulcie O'Neil, Book 6

    • UNABRIDGED (8 hrs and 11 mins)
    • By H.P. Mallory
    • Narrated By Therese Plummer

For Whom the Spell Tolls is the sixth audiobook in the Dulcie O'Neil series (Fantasy Romance Books): A war between The Resistance and the Netherworld, A vampire who isn't all that he appears, and the ultimate price that must be paid. Dulcie O'Neil thought her luck couldn't get much worse but it's about to get a whole lot worse. Forced into declaring war against the Netherworld and her father, Dulcie will find herself fighting for everything she believes in. In the process, she'll have to decide whether or not to trust a centuries old vampire, a decision which literally will mean life or death.

What disappointed you about For Whom the Spell Tolls?

I loved all her other books in this series so I was so disappointed to read this one and find it had turned in to soft porn. It didn't even match up to the prevues book properly .

What was most disappointing about H.P. Mallory’s story?

It felt like she just rushed this one out. And I was really looking forward to it as well. I loved the story line up until this book ruined it. Shame.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator was great. I always like it when they keep the same one for a whole series. Respect.

What character would you cut from For Whom the Spell Tolls?

The characters where all fun. The story line blows.

    Any additional comments?

I really felt ripped off with this ending to such a fantastic series. I think she lost interest in writing it. Such a shame. Love all the others in this series. If she rewrote it I would buy the new version hoping she did it some Justice.

  • Undead and Unreturnable: Queen Betsy, Book 4

    • UNABRIDGED (5 hrs and 23 mins)
    • By MaryJanice Davidson
    • Narrated By Nancy Wu
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Though she's the vampire queen, Betsy Taylor is much more like a princess. In MaryJanice Davidson's novels, this high-maintenance monarch is finally coming to terms with her new status.

    "Missing books......I loved this book"
Would you listen to Undead and Unreturnable again? Why?

I would listen to it again if I had the earlier books in the series so I could listen to them in the correct order.

What other book might you compare Undead and Unreturnable to and why?

This story has the same kind of quick wit & strong female lead I enjoyed extremely in Molly Harpers supernatural series.

    Which scene was your favorite?

I can't choose a favourite scene I just really love the entire story.

Who was the most memorable character of Undead and Unreturnable and why?

Betsy is a straight forward outspoken & sometimes painfully blunt character. I love her in your face ways.

    Any additional comments?

The only thing I don't like about this series is that many of the books aren't available !!!
I really hate it when I start a new series only to discover missing books......!
