If you are in the mood for a mellow read this is a great book for you.
Admittedly I am a little biased about this book. My parents are from BSG and reading this one brings back childhood memories at the grandparent's house. It really is a lovely read. Not as outright gripping as some but I looked forward to every word. highly recommend!
No, once is enough.
I found it mildly entertaining but so outrageous that even my imagination had a hard time with it.
It held my interest to some extent. I just found it to be borderline ridiculous.
This story could have been great if the second half was as good as the first half. Seriously, I had a very hard time finishing this book and felt as though the second half was a waste of my time. Second half just drug along with many words but not a lot happening. Super disappointing.
At this point I will not be getting another book by this author.
The performance was the best part. The different accents were very well done.
I would not recommend spending your time on this book.
This book was mildly entertaining. Not the sort of read that grips your inner core but a nice read at best. If you are looking for an easy-to-follow read, I would recommend this one. I am not likely to read any more of this series.
This is a very important story and could help a lot of people. It failed to really engage me though. Much of the detail of the content was monotonous. Excess verbiage could have been omitted which would have made it a more captivating read. That being said, I am very glad I read this one and will recommend to friends.
I do highly recommend this book as a source of education. It is a good and speedy read.
Without any spoilers:
Well written, very well performed and managed to grip me.
Very well narrated.
It was hard for me to put this one down.
I just can't comment as I would like because it would spoil for others who have not read it.
This is a true story which needs to be told. It gives a new perspective on all that we have and shows great strength in a time of turmoil.
Sivia. Mainly because this is her story. I must say that her father quickly became my hero as well.
There is no moment in particular. This story is full of riveting and intense moments. I think that her family support system was incredible. Her father in particular was her "rock".
The narration is spoken in a whine, through the entire story. While I get the anguish this young women must have felt, her strength shines through in the story. I can not imagine Sivia whining out this story. The narrator did not do this story justice. If I had it to do over I would have read the book rather than listen.
The entire story line was just... ridiculous. That is the word that comes to my mind when I think of this book. It seems like a very immature book although I would never recommend it to a young person because of the sexual content. It was predictable and silly.
I will find something but it will not be anything similar to this book.
I would have liked to hear a more realistic voice for the male character. Perhaps a deeper voice. (I know, that is hard for females).
The only redeeming quality is the warm and fuzzy at the end and the strength the female character developed near the end.
I would not recommend this book.
I love the continuation of this story. The author brings it to the next level in thickening the plot. We learn more about the main characters.
Simon Vance is outstanding! I enjoy his voice and he's very good at seperating the different characters.
The first 25 to 30% of this book is a reintroduction to the characters etc... I thought that it took too much of this book to do that task which is the only reason I did not rate it at 5-stars. Still a worthwhile read and very captivating once you get past the first 4th.
Suspense. Awesome. Thriller.
I really enjoyed this book. There were so many twists and turns that it left me unable to put it down. The narration is outstanding. Characters are well developed. I will highly recommend this great read.
Really loved this one in audio version. The narrator was outstanding at depicting the different character's voices and the urgency (and danger) of the situations. I'm sure that the print version would be good as well.
Steven Weber was oustanding in narrating this book.
This one hits the nail on the head with detail! I was drawn in to the characters and the story. I found myself in tears on a few occasions. I would highly recommend this book!
