On a cold and snowy night in 1910, Ursula Todd is born to an English banker and his wife. She dies before she can draw her first breath. On that same cold and snowy night, Ursula Todd is born, lets out a lusty wail, and embarks upon a life that will be, to say the least, unusual. For as she grows, she also dies, repeatedly, in a variety of ways, while the young century marches on towards its second cataclysmic world war.

This book was a surprise! Like nothing I have heard before. The narration was one of the best parts for me, I know it wouldn't have been the same if I had read it myself. That is my favorite thing about Audible... the stories come to life like they could never have done with me just reading!! (I may never READ a book again!!)
Life after Life had me on the edge from first word to last. A story of the never ending do-over even if you don't want to do it over. What a concept! All I can say is give it a chance, I'm so glad I did. 5 star all around!!

On the grubby outskirts of Paris, Grace restores bric-a-brac, mends teapots, re-sets gems. She calls herself Julie, says she's from California, and slips back to a rented room at night. Regularly, furtively, she checks the hometown paper on the Internet. Home is Garland, Tennessee, and there, two young men have just been paroled. One, she married; the other, she's in love with. Both were jailed for a crime that Grace herself planned in exacting detail.

Written with astonishing clarity and evocative detail, convincing in its depiction of emotional pain, love, and vulnerability, Harvesting the Heart recalls the writing of Alice Hoffman and Sue Miller. Paige has only a few vivid memories of her mother, who left when she was five. Now, having left her father behind in Chicago for dreams of art school and marriage to an ambitious young doctor, she finds herself with a child of her own.

I used to not really be a big fan of Jodi Picoult. That has all changed. This was SUCH a good novel. Accurately portraying the what the 1st few months of life can be like for a new mom, (suffering from PPD) and a new Dad can be like. The fears are all real. I can't say enough about this one, but I have to stop writing, because I need to read another!

It had potential to scare, but it never came. I do enjoy the Authors Writing style and am really starting to "Like" the Main Character. I am excited to read the next book in the series! I just hope the next has a little more... I want to be at the edge of my seat!!

I'm really into horror right now, I switch genres often. I've read quite a few Koontz books over the years, and I do like his story's for the most part, what I've noticed however, is that I struggle to get through the books. "When will this end?"
Koontz is an amazing "Closer" so by the time I've read the last 2 paragraphs, I say to myself... That wasn't half bad... This book held true to my Koontz Theory... The actual books tend to be long, unbelievable, somewhat boring, and kind of pointless, but the way that Koontz can finish that book, punches you in the gut and makes you say "That wasn't half bad". *Very Tricky Mr. Koontz!*

For the first time in unabridged audio! A small Kansas town has turned into a killing ground. Is it a serial killer, a man with the need to destroy? Or is it a darker force, a curse upon the land? Amid golden cornfields, FBI Special Agent Pendergast discovers evil in the blood of America's heart.

Such a good horror book!! Couldn't believe how scared I was at some parts. I am a big fan of the genre, and have been so disappointed by all "The Greats" lately. First time reading these authors. I will now start from the beginning of the Series! I'm excited to have some fright-filled books to listen too!

I'm returning this listen. I feel like I must have missed a whole section of the book or something?? That's the only thing I can think of... Was so lost for 2/3 of book. Couldn't connect... The synopsis made this book sound like that one in a million, Change you're life kind of book. I thought it was dull, boring and frankly kind of strange. I listened to the whole thing, just waiting and waiting for the breathtaking, poignant moment(s) to slap me in the heart. I will have to look elsewhere I guess. VERY disappointed and let down 😣
