Life doesn't get more hilarious than when Chelsea Handler takes aim with her irreverent wit. Who else would send all-staff emails to smoke out the dumbest people on her show? Now, in this new collection of original essays, the number-one best-selling author of Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea delivers one laugh-out-loud moment after another as she sets her sights on the ridiculous side of childhood, adulthood, and daughterhood.

Seth Hubbard is a wealthy man dying of lung cancer. He trusts no one. Before he hangs himself from a sycamore tree, Hubbard leaves a new, handwritten, will. It is an act that drags his adult children, his black maid, and Jake into a conflict as riveting and dramatic as the murder trial that made Brigance one of Ford County's most notorious citizens, just three years earlier. The second will raises far more questions than it answers. Why would Hubbard leave nearly all of his fortune to his maid? Had chemotherapy and painkillers affected his ability to think clearly?

As a child in small-town Oklahoma, Elizabeth Warren yearned to go to college and then become an elementary school teacher - an ambitious goal, given her family’s modest means. Early marriage and motherhood seemed to put even that dream out of reach, but 15 years later she was a distinguished law professor with a deep understanding of why people go bankrupt. Then came the phone call that changed her life: could she come to Washington, DC, to help advise Congress on rewriting the bankruptcy laws?

Mindy Kaling has lived many lives: the obedient child of immigrant professionals, a timid chubster afraid of her own bike, a Ben Affleck–impersonating Off-Broadway performer and playwright, and, finally, a comedy writer and actress prone to starting fights with her friends and coworkers with the sentence “Can I just say one last thing about this, and then I swear I’ll shut up about it?”

Where does Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Along the same lines as Chelsea Handler and Tina Fey, her stories about being a female in comedy and show business are fantastic.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes!

    Any additional comments?

Mindy is quick and witty. Very funny and very entertaining.

Before Liz Lemon, before "Weekend Update," before "Sarah Palin," Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: a recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV. She has seen both these dreams come true. At last, Tina Fey's story can be told....

What did you love best about Bossypants?

Tina Fey is absolutely amazing!! Hysterical!!! Great story teller. Extremely inspiring. I didn't become a fan of her until I read this book. She's different in that she's not the stereotypical "in your face" feminist (although I admire and adores those too), but rather, "please stop talking about how funny I am for a female". Very funny and very entertaining. I really enjoyed it. It's great for all, especially those who aspire to be in the screen writing, tv, radio, or theatre business.

What other book might you compare Bossypants to and why?

Although very different stories and lives, I could compare it to Sheryl Sandberg's, "Lean In". I didn't realize how much of a feminist Tina Fey was. She's truly inspiring.

Why we think it’s a great listen: Some books are meant to be read; others are meant to be heard – Water for Elephants falls into the second group, and is one of the best examples we have of how a powerful performance enhances a great story. Nonagenarian Jacob Jankowski reflects back on his wild and wondrous days with a circus. It's the Depression Era and Jacob, finding himself parentless and penniless, joins the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth.

What made the experience of listening to Water for Elephants the most enjoyable?

The story was excellent. As a young reader/listener, it provided perspective. Told from an older man's point of view about his life in his 20s, he tells his story from a nursing home. Very good book. I really enjoyed it.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

The only good part of the book. The first few hours dragged on until the last few chapters. The end definitely redeemed the entire book.

    Any additional comments?

I was a little disappointed. I was really looking forward to listening to this. Unless you're in the military or navy seal community and understand the lingo, it'll probably be hard to get into and comprehend. Even I, growing up around military and being a military spouse, found this to a little hard to follow. The first few hours dragged on, but the end was worth listening too.

The concept was very good, and really did give insight to the Navy Seal community. Definitely gave you a taste and appreciation of what these men do, and also cleared up stories and rumors of the mission. Worth reading, but a little boring to listen too.
