I love Bailey Cates' Magical Bakery Mystery series. This next in the series keeps the fun and mystery going. I love how Savanna itself is a character adding charm to the story. If you love cozy mysteries with food or witches (very light magic in this) then you will love this series.
The only bad part is that the narrator never bothers to research the correct pronunciation of words and just stumbles through the story. I like her voice but the mispronounced words takes me out of the story and bothers me.
Otherwise if you can get past the narration issues this is a wonderful series.
Inspirational and challenging.
If you want to write by Barbara Ueland's "If You Want to Write" and "Writting Down the Bones" give experienced and new writers great advice for building confidence as a writer and supportive personal stories of their own growth and journey as writers. The writing world is much less lonely with Goldberg and Ueland by your side.
Anyone that has the desire to put pen to page should pick up this book. Somewhere in the pages you will find a spark, an idea that will get you writing. All around wonderful book.
Yes I would listen to this again. Love the story and the characters...the only thing that bugged me was Xe Sands reading of the book. She made the main character sound like a creaky old woman...it did not work for me. But Juliet Blackwell's mystery series is great:)
Lily Ivory the main character is great, funny and smart.
The main character is young so a younger voice that doesn't sound old and creaky. The voice sounded more like Graciella not Lily.
The ending was unexpected and exciting.
