  • Nice Girls Don't Live Forever: Jane Jameson, Book 3

    • UNABRIDGED (9 hrs and 4 mins)
    • By Molly Harper
    • Narrated By Amanda Ronconi
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Nothing sucks the romance out of world travel like a boyfriend who may or may not have broken up with you in a hotel room in Brussels. Jane Jameson's sexy sire Gabriel has always been unpredictable, but the seductive, anonymous notes that await him at each stop of their international vacation, coupled with his evasive behavior over the past few months, finally push Jane onto the next flight home to Half Moon Hollow -- alone, upset, and unsure whether Gabriel just ended their relationship without actually telling her.

    Yuriko says: "Great rap-up!"

I love the book, the reader was great!! PLEASE please release the first two books of this awesome series!!! : )

  • Gilda Joyce: The Ladies of the Lake

    • UNABRIDGED (8 hrs and 3 mins)
    • By Jennifer Allison
    • Narrated By Jessica Almasy

Acclaimed author Jennifer Allison's Gilda Joyce: Psychic Investigator was a School Library Journal Best Book of the Year. In this sequel, 13-year-old psychic investigator Gilda is not happy about the scholarship she won to attend Our Lady of Sorrows private school. Time to wear a uniform and hang out with a bunch of debutantes, she figures. But then Gilda learns a drowned student's ghost may be haunting the grounds. Now it's time to investigate!

    Raven says: "Quirky"
What made the experience of listening to Gilda Joyce the most enjoyable?

Enjoyed this book....not really sure if she is a psychic investigator or just stubborn.

Who was your favorite character and why? her typewriting and progress reports. Just plain funny.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Laughed and cried, lost my father to cancer. Although in my 20's I felt the same reaction that Gilda experienced. Laughed at her boldness, never say die attitude. Although I would cringe a bit at her frankness.

    Any additional comments?

Lovely start just too expensive. Very very credit worthy. This is a young adult book but it is really for all ages.

Raised by vampyre relatives, Jane grows to resent the lifestyle's effect on her upbringing. No sunlight, nighttime hours, and a diet of bloody red meat is no way for a mortal girl to live. I love Jane! The book flowed easily like the author was channeling Charlotte Bronte when she wrote it. Although I know the original Jane well and have loved to read the it over and over again. I truely loved this adaption! The reader did and awesome job! Enjoy

    • By Lois McMaster Bujold
    • Narrated By Lloyd James
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Amidst the decaying splendor and poisonous intrigue of Chalion's ancient capital, Cazaril is forced to confront not only powerful enemies but also the malignant curse that clings to the royal household, trapping him, flesh and soul, in a maze of demonic paradox, damnation, and death for as long as he dares walk the five-fold pathway of the gods.

    "green with envy"

So Rich in detail that it made me feel apart of this brillant work. My review is a humble one not flowery or really discriptive at all but it was one of only a few that I did not want to end. Hung on every word and loved it all. Hope that this helps. Enjoy I am green with envy that you get to experience her work for the first time.
