French women don't get fat, but they do eat bread and pastry, drink wine, and regularly enjoy three-course meals. In her delightful tale, Mireille Guiliano unlocks the simple secrets of this "French paradox", how to enjoy food and stay slim and healthy. Hers is a charming, sensible, and powerfully life-affirming view of health and eating for our times.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Less french words that sometimes they wouldn't give a translation to.

Has French Women Don't Get Fat turned you off from other books in this genre?

Not really but it was dissapointing.

What does Kathe Mazur bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her voice is very soothing, the narration was very good, but the content of the book definitely not.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

None, is just a recipe book with a few tips on how to eat better when it should've been the other way around.

    Any additional comments?

Waste of a credit but I'm glad for Audible's return policy so at least I don't feel like I wasted my money.

La memoria íntima de la famosísima cantante y actriz. Por primera vez, Thalia habla de sus experiencias, las tragedias y los éxitos. “Como todos, yo tengo cosas que me impulsan y cosas que me halan y obstaculizan. Con este libro, que está lleno de un sentimiento de fortaleza y potencialidad, deseo impulsar nuestras vidas a la plenitud, y que podamos ver una luz en el camino; que juntos abracemos, perdonemos, restauremos y amemos a la persona más importante que pueda haber.

If you could sum up Cada día mas fuerte [Growing Stronger Every Day] in three words, what would they be?

    A true inspiration

What did you like best about this story?

I like the tone in which it was written, it felt very warm, from the heart.

What does Federica Sodi Miranda bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I truly believe that Federica Sodi being Thalia's sister made a big difference in the narration. She read every word as if she was feeling it, therefore traspassing that to the listener. I enjoyed it very much and strongly feel she was absolutely the best narrator for this book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The moments where Federica's voice broke from emotion from what she was reading which probably touched her, but that made it so much more credible and honest that it moved me to cry as well.

    Any additional comments?

Thalia did an excellent job writing this book, the tone, the use of words, etc. kept me interested the whole time. And Federica did an awesome job narrating it, making the reader feel and live the story. The absolute perfect combination. This has been one of the best audible books I've had the pleasure to listen to.
