I loved having the opportunity to hear stories of Garner's experiences in the tv and film industries and his interaction with other personalities. A totally enjoyable book.
This is not a review of the story or performance, rather the audio quality of the recording. I gave up after just a few minutes of trying to listen, the poor audio was just too frustrating to bear.
Again, this is not a review of the book, but of the poor quality of the recording.
Re-engineer the recording.
I've already listened to "The Racketeer" twice. I enjoyed it so much I wanted to listen again and catch all the subtle hints that were dropped early in the novel.
"The Racketeer" reminded me very much of Grisham's early works that I enjoyed so much. The characters were very likable, even if they were a bit shady.
Most enjoyable listen I've had in a while. The story and characters kept me totally engaged and wondering until the end. I'm going to be trying more of Gerritsen's novels.
Boring, tedious, and drab. I kept wondering "when is it going to get good?" Too many characters introduced too quickly with no essence of individuality that would make them memorable.
This was my first listen of a Rizzoli & Isles novel. Truly suspenseful and enjoyable. I listened in my car and it made the time fly by.
