Would you listen to Odd Thomas again? Why?

YES, SIMPLY BECAUSE THERE IS SO MUCH GOING ON THAT YOU MAY HAVE MISSED IT THE FIRST TIME.

What did you like best about this story?

THE MAIN CHARACTER, ODD THOMAS. I FIND HIM WITTY, CHARMING, AND BELIEVABLE.

Have you listened to any of David Aaron Baker’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

NO, BUT IT IS NOW ON MY "TO DO" LIST.

If you could take any character from Odd Thomas out to dinner, who would it be and why?

TAKE OUT TO DINNER??? LITTLE OZZIE OF COURSE. HE WOULD KNOW ALL THE BEST PLACES TO EAT AND WHAT TO ORDER!! GIVEN A CHOICE THOUGH, I WOULD JUST RATHER THAT HE, THOMAS AND I AND JUST ALL FIXED A MEAL TOGETHER.

A body has been found on the overlook near Mulholland Drive. The victim, identified as Dr. Stanley Kent, has two bullet holes in the back of his head, from what looks like an execution-style shooting. LAPD detective Harry Bosch is called out to investigate. As soon as Bosch begins retracing Dr. Kent's steps, contradictions emerge. While Kent doesn't seem to have had ties to organized crime, he did have access to dangerous radioactive substances from just about every hospital in Los Angeles County.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I HAVE RECOMMENDED THIS BOOK TO FRIENDS SEVERAL TIMES ALREADY! IT IS A ENTHRALLING STORY LINE, BEAUTIFULLY DELIVERED, WITH TWISTS AND TURNS THAT LEAVE YOU GUESSING UNTIL THE VERY END! I AM THE TYPE OF PERSON WHO STARTS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE ENDING TO A MYSTERY AFTER THE VERY FIRST WORD. IT'S SOMETHING I CANNOT CONTROL. I WAS LEFT GUESSING BY THE TWISTS AND TURNS TIL THE VERY LAST PAGE! IT WAS GREAT.

What did you like best about this story?

THE WAY THE AUTHOR WAS TO USE EVERY DAY EXPERIENCES AND OTHERWISE NORMAL SITUATIONS TO WEAVE TOGETHER A BRAND NEW WORLD.

Have you listened to any of Natalie Ross and Phil Gigante ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

NOT YET, BUT IT IS ON MY "TO DO" LIST.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    YES!

    Any additional comments?

IF THERE WAS A DETRACTOR IT WAS THAT THE MAIN CHARACTER CONSTANTLY STATES SHE "IS FROM THE SOUTH". BY THE END OF THE BOOK ALL I COULD THINK IS "WE GET IT ALREADY!"

In one of the most stunning debuts to come along in years, reminiscent of Philip K. Dick's best work and P. D. James' classic The Children of Men, David Oppegaard gives us a world whose near future presents some terrifying realities. The Despair has plagued the earth for five years. Most of the world's population has inexplicably died by its own hand, and the few survivors struggle to remain alive.

If you could sum up The Suicide Collectors in three words, what would they be?

    WORK OF ART!

What other book might you compare The Suicide Collectors to and why?

I HAVE NOT READ ANYTHING COMPARABLE HONESTLY.

What about Robertson Dean’s performance did you like?

I LOVED THE WAY HIS VOICE SET THE PACE OF THE STORY, AND THE TONE SAID MORE THEN THE WORDS AT TIMES. HE DID NOT JUST READ IT, HE PERFORMED IT.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    YES!
