Although lighter in intrigue than previous books, I think Sookie and Eric fans needed the break. Johanna Parker does a fabulous job bringing the story to life once again. I am already longing for the next book.
I thoroughly enjoy Dan Brown books until now. It wasn't all bad, but it felt too predictable.
If you are looking for a easy, light, and fun read, this book won't disappoint.
Harris should have ended the series several books ago. The past few books have been progressively worse--increasing inconsistencies with character lines.
I wish I had something better to say. There seems to be several discrepancies in the story line this go around. And, the not so subtle changes to the Eric -- Sookie dynamic are a real disappointment. The slow rocky build to togetherness is all the sudden not so delicately removed.
I think at this point, anyone that picks of this book is already hooked on Jamie, Claire, et al. (or atleast they should be). This anxiously awaited book did not let me down. My only complaint was the abrupt, multiple cliff hanger ending. Too much for such a ardent fan!
Excellent narration; fantastic story. Excellent mix of romance, action, and history.
