This book is a 5 out of 10
I premise is awesome, the rambling is a little tough to get through, We strat forward with the story, then back up and rehash.
Tavia's voice is the reason I'm listening to this series
Brownly is a real woman...I liked the way she thinks
The couple took care of business.
There is no comparison. The end of the book was so darn memorable - I started reading the series too enjoy the boldnest of these type of endings
Fight the demons, find a cave to hide in, have sex, leave the cave, keep fighting...How cool is that?
I sat and thought about this book and how it played out...extreme ending
The first time it didn't stick
I like the world she writes about, but this book rambled a bit
Tavia is the reason I choose this book. What a VOICE!!
He has ideals - she is a cat. Can they find love?
Never read it...be Tavia Gilbert's voice is unmatched. She makes you forget you are listening to ONE person...she is just one person isn't she?!?!
The Ah Ha moments. Sarah McCarty wrote a great love story without following the "Formula" for ever story in the series. Each male character has his OWN way of falling in love, and each female lead is a powerful woman with her own methods.
2 scenes: When Slade is talking about Jane being afraid of him when she wakes up...the whole time, she was awake, in control and listening.Also...Jane leaves the house to find Slade. She's putting daylight in wolf after wolf to get to her man...the whole time thinking...I'm not wonderful, I'm just scared. She's such a real woman!
When Jane puts Slade in the box and decides to stay and guard him...very unexpected.
SPOILER ALERT...don't read this is you want WTF moments...on the other hand, listening to Tavia will take you into the story even if you THINK you know what's going to happen.
No...but I'm listening to everything in the book series!
It was not very powerful as a first in the series, but McCarty can really spin a tale. Just as good as the Lora Leigh "Breed" series
I loved the opening. It was hard to believe Alli was going to be the Female lead...she is so normal and sarcastic. Push-up bra!?! We've all done something stupid like that to impress a guy! But Alli comes out swinging and hard-core...love her!
Yup, cuz I wanted to get to the next one
I love this narrator. Her male voices sound like men, her female voices sound like different women. She is brilliant. I'll be looking for more books we reads.
No - felt like all I needed to do was read the last chapter
Yup - love her!!
Let's kick Asher out!! Loved that.
nah...droned on and on until the last chapter
If this is your last LKH - don't judge. She's better then this book
Kaderin continued to fight her feelings for this awesome man/vampire, but physically...she gave it her all.
Sebastian...What a man (okay...vampire)!
Roberts voice became more powerful, as Sabastian became more confident.
There is a scene in a nightclub when Sebastian thinks Kaderin is going to sleep with the half demon who owns the club. Thier reactions are differant then expected!
I've never read a print version of the Ghostwalkers, BUT the emotion in Tom Stechschulte's voice; passion, fear, desire, and determination is good enough to make you laugh, cry and remember!
Octavia Butler's Wild Seed was an emotional journey, with the same power to pull you through a desperate love relationship.
I loved the passion and introspection in Sam, but Azami was amazing! I could actually feel her pain from Whitney's experiments.
Beware of small pretty packages!
YES this book must be listened to!! Hearing the different voices and the tension, excitement and deadliness in the voices was exciting! Dion Graham was so amazing, I'll be looking for books narrated by him.
This book cannot be compared to any other I've read or listened to. The characters are Black, the situations and based of African American culture and mysticism. Where else are you going to read/hear this kind of work?
I loved two scenes: When the female lead transformed herself into a Dolphin and described the experience to us - the scene brought a true smile to my face, and when the Male lead finally figured out how much he truly cared. The scene brought tears to my eyes.
What if you had TRUE power over LIFE and DEATH, and could live forever? Could you stay sane - could you love?
I love Octavia Butler...this book only made me hungry for more...I guess I'll have to go back and read/listen to her other books!
This was a mid-range story. Not the best, or the worst. It helped clarify more points in the Argeneau serie.
This book has no comparision that I've read. Writing about an immortal/Vampire who chases the girl all around an island in the sun!! That was interesting.
Christian Notte, the male lead, wassexy, dedicated and focused. He wanted the woman..he persued her
No strong reactionsjust an interesting premise.
the scene dipicting the Violin in a rock band was very visual - had me searching for rock violin music.
