The storyline and character development/connections could have been much stronger. I really don't care about Lena and Ethan's relationship and love for each other. They bore me as a couple. I cared more about Liv and Ama and their relationships with Ethan. Lena seems really annoying to me.
I'm going to re-listen to Divergent and Insurgent to get ready for Allegiant in October.
The reader, Kevin Collins, did a good job.
Of course, I would try another Sophie Kinsella book - I love the Shopaholic series and her other works under SK. I would not, however, particularly enjoy listening to Clare Corbett again.
The story should have continued....towards the end of this book, it seemed very rushed to tie up what loose ends were tied. The ending left much to be desired. Good setup for a sequel, I suppose.
No. Her voice for Becky was ok, but her "American" accent for the characters in Hollywood were pretty much atrocious and not consistent. Bryce sounded like a Muppet and several other voices sounded like drag queens.
For Book 8, which there must clearly be, I really, really hope the narrator is different. I wish this book could have continued onward to complete more story lines, but I guess I will just have to wait for the next one.
If this was actually a sequel to Revenge Wears Prada, this would be 5 stars. Just because you use the same names as a prior book doesn't make the subsequent book a sequel!
The most disappoint thing was that this was not a sequel to Revenge Wears Prada!!!! It was just a story about people with the same name....and the story was very weak and shallow.
Yes. The reader was fine.
Anger and disappointment - angry that I wasted a credit and soooooooo disappointed because I love, love, loved Revenge Wears Prada.
Don't waste your credits or time with this. Terrible.
