Derek Jacobi's reading was excellent, probably the best narrated book of the series so far. It was an enjoyable listen, and reading along with the print version made the reading experience so much better.
The most memorable moment for me was Eustace changing into a dragon, discovering himself and becoming a better person.
This is my favourite book in The Chronicles of Narnia series. It is well narrated by Derek Jacobi and the story is brilliant. A great listen and a great read.
This an explosive fast-action story set in Antarctica. This is Matthew Reilly' s first story featuring the character Simon "Scarecrow" Schofield. It is read by Sean Mangan who reads most of Matthew Reilly's books and gives his usual polished performance. Scarecrow and his team are sent as the forward team to secure an Ice Station in Antarctica and help rescue a research team. They find a lost secretly built stealth plane and have to fight for their lives against Killer Whales and Elephant Seals and corrupt army, navy seals and SAS teams that want to get their hands on the plane and to keep it's secrets for themselves. This is an excellent listen that I recommend to anyone who loves a good action novel.
Elizabeth is my favourite character as she is brave and willing to learn about the realities of life in all its horror, and is not naive as Elsie was.
Lucy Gaskell did a wonderful job and I love her British accent.
The most memorable character is Elsie, Bessie' s friend. Her naivete, the way she discusses her sexual relations with Bessie and the trouble she eventually finds herself in are all memorable moments in The Tournament.
I recommend this to anyone who loves a fast-paced Indiana Jones type adventure.
William Race wrestling with the caimans (crocodiles). The rapas (big cats) are pretty cool as well.
Sean Mangan is an excellent narrator and has done brilliant job with the Matthew Reilly books I have listened to so far.
Monster aliens, Action
Stephen Swain was my favourite just for his never say die attitude and the way he protected his daughter.
Jurassic Park, Alien and Predator all rolled into one.
The Jason and the Golden Fleece race at the end was awesome. All the races in this book were well written, fast paced and all of them had their own twists and turns. Plenty of memorable moments in this book.
The scene where Bug' s steers them to victory after Jason's blackout under too much g force.
The book is performed well by Sean Mangan and the story is well written and full of fast paced thrill rides. An enjoyable listen for those young adults who love action and adventure stories.
Troll Mountain was a fun listen and is a great way to have a break between novels. It was an interesting for Matthew Reilly to write and it was well narrated.
That the villains get their comeuppance and the hero gets a happy ending after stealing the elixir and saving his tribe from the disease.
Yes it was and it was very enjoyable.
A story the whole family can all listen to and enjoy when there is nothing on the box.
The great line up of crime writers and narrators that have teamed up to create the book and audio book ensure that this is an excellent read. With many twists and turns and everyone a suspect with a strong motive. A very enjoyable read and listen.
The mystery and the plot and the great ending with a little dark humour thrown in for good measure. I also loved the way the story comes together in the end. This is an excellent collaboration.
This is a brilliant collaborative work written by some of the best crime and mystery writers around today. It is also well read by a great team of narrators. I loved the concept and the storyline, a must read and listen for mystery enthusiasts.
The Lord of the Rings is well narrated by Rob Ingliss. He does an excellent job of the voices of Gollum, the orcs, and of Treebeard. It is enjoyable being able to follow along with the book and increases the enjoyment of reading the best fantasy story ever written.
Everything. Need I say more. J.R.R. Tolkien was indeed the best author of the 20th century.
He did a great job, but his singing of the songs was terrible. His character voices were brilliant though and the audio book was an enjoyable listen that enhances the reading experience of The Lord of the Rings.
What moved me was when Sam helped Frodo with his burden by carrying him when Frodo was unable to go any further.
I recommend this audio book to all Lord of the Rings fans as it enhances the reading experience.
Aragorn is my favourite character for his wisdom and bravery and willingness to sacrifice everything to save Middle Earth.
Rob Ingliss' performance of Lord of the Rings is excellent. His performance of Ghan-Buri-Ghan is brilliant and I loved the accent.
The Battle of Pellinor Field and The Pyre of Denethor are my favourite chapters in this part of the book.
The banterinig between Sam and Gollum when Sam is cooking the rabbits is hilarious and Rob Ingliss as Gollum was brilliant.
Rob Ingliss' best performance yet.
