The Jason and the Golden Fleece race at the end was awesome. All the races in this book were well written, fast paced and all of them had their own twists and turns. Plenty of memorable moments in this book.
The scene where Bug' s steers them to victory after Jason's blackout under too much g force.
The book is performed well by Sean Mangan and the story is well written and full of fast paced thrill rides. An enjoyable listen for those young adults who love action and adventure stories.
A killer from Tempes past is back. Tempe is called to help on a cold case. 2 child murders and Anne Pomerleau is determined to be the killer based on DNA evidence. Tempe tracks down her sometime beau Andrew Ryan to help, who is living a self imposed exile, after the death of his daughter. What they uncover is even more horrifying then anyone could imagine. The Temperance Brennan series by Kathy Reichs is an amazing series. Katherine Borowitz delivers a brilliant performance of Bones Never Lie.
Tempe Brennan is supposed to be on holiday in Florida, human remains are discovered in the stomach of a python, so I guess its swamp and snakes for Tempe. Katherine Borowitz's performance of the audio book is brilliant.
Bones of the Lost by Kathy Reichs, features the suspicious death of an Afghani citizen. The killer is an American soldier, but did he do it in self defence or was it murder? Tempe Brennan is called on to look at the body of the dead Afghani citizen and concludes that the Soldier killed in self defence. Tempe returns home, but then gets caught up in an investigation of a human trafficking case, Afgahni girls are been smuggled into the USA. A brilliant story that was inspired by Kathy Reichs' daughter's work with victims of sexual assault and highlights the atrocities that occur as a result of human trafficking rings. Linda Emond once again delivers a great performance of the audio book.
Bones in Her Pocket is a great short story that leads us up to the events in Bones of the Lost. If you love dogs you might get a bit squeamish. Tempe investigates an illegal puppy mill in North Carolina after the bones she examines leads her there. A murder of an animal rights activist is investigated. Well narrated by Linda Emond.
Bones are Forever is probably one of the best of the series featuring Tempe Brennan. It tells the story of a young woman who turns up at the hospital. The doctor thinks she has just given birth, but the woman denies it. After the doctor reports this to the police, the bodies of 3 babies are found in her place of residence. A story full of family secrets, greed, prostitution and murder. Well narrated by Linda Emond.
Murder, racism, Nascar and Bones are on the menu in Flash and Bones by Kathy Reichs. As Tempe investigates a John Doe found in landfill at the Nascar track, the FBI and a group of racists calling themselves the Patriot Posse become interested in the investigation. Her main lead turns up dead and a disgraced ex detective is helping Tempe with the investigation. Flash and Bones is well narrated by Linda Emond.
A brilliant conclusion to the Hall of the Dragon King trilogy, Stephen Lawhead' s first fantasy series. Nimrood is back, after he used his dark magic to put his soul into a raven to escape death. Now he is human and stirring up trouble in Mensandor. First he convinces the priests to turn against the Dragon King, and rouse the people against him. He kidnaps King Quentin' s son Gerin, and as a result Quentin loses his faith and his sword, which was put into his hands by the High Lord. A great book, a great series and well narrated by Tim Gregory.
A great story once again. Mortal Remains aka Spider Bones is a brilliant addition to the Tempe Brennan series by Kathy Reichs. This time Tempe is in Hawaii with her sometime beau Andrew Ryan, her daughter Katie and Ryan's drug addict daughter Lily. She investigates the remains of a dead soldier, only John Lowry died in 1968, so how can a person die twice. Lorelei King gives another good performance of the audio book.
Ten years of peace in Mensandor comes to an end, when the world is attacked by the Warlords of Nin. Quentin is named heir and successor to the throne by Eskavar, but first he is sent on a quest. Along the way he fulfills a prophecy. A brilliant sequel to In the Hall of the Dragon King. Stephen Lawhead is a master of his art. Tim Gregory delivers a great performance.
206 Bones is crime and mystery at its best. Accused of mishandling an autopsy, Tempe investigates, but then the man she needs information from turns up dead. Elderly women are turning up dead and Ryan fears that they have a serial killer. Meanwhile tensions are high at the lab in Montreal. A new staff member is causing trouble as she has stars in her eyes and is manipulating cases to make herself look good, at the expense of Tempe and her co-workers. Lorelei King delivers a great performance of the audiobook, and Kathy Reichs has delivered another brilliant novel in the Bones series.
